MBClub Member 'LoveDay' 2012 Mercedes C63 AMG-Complete G-Techniq Correction Detail.

Very nice.. Great work.
That golf looks stunning.

Just got this in an email from steve the owner of the 63:

I had my vehicle paint corrected and detailed by Mike and what a Phenomenal job he done – That is all I can say.
After being recommended to Mike by many members of the Mercedes Forum I felt immediately confident that he understood the way I like things – and that is perfect.
One rarely encounters such unwavering commitment to provide exactly what he promises.
This work ethic should be applauded whenever possible – Stand up Mike and take your bow!
Steve Loveday

Thanks steve, its much appriciated!

Did you just ask this so you would have some entertaining debate to watch on a Friday evening ? I should imagine someone will oblige shortly if so...

No, I have an idea of how much a high-end detail costs so wanted to see how this compares.

IIRC over £300.

Which will buy you a decent wax, polish, alloy wheel cleaner, sealant, clay bar and probably £150 of change if you DiY it and you'll be able to do over and over again.

How does that help wash a car?

Oh dear.

Let's put it simply. Nano-technonolgy on paint was derived from bio mimetics.

As human technology advances, it is sometimes beneficial to look to the billions of years that nature has had to hone evolutionary problems and adapt them into our own un-natural requirements.

If you want to see great examples of bio mimetics then you should look into the world of medical prosthetics.

I still don't get how that removes dirt from a car:o

Surely a shampoo and sponge are enough?

It's easy. The natural world has solutions which evolution has refined over millennia.

The automotive paint industry has taken a leaf out of Mother Nature's book and looked at natural dirt/water repellants. Let's look at butterfly wings. They repel water exceedingly well.

The reason?

They are coated in a thick layer of lacquer.

Surely a tub of turtle wax and rain ex for the windscreen does the same job?
