Meet Silvia the s211 e55 7 seater

Love the attention to detail. It’s a nightmare regarding the tank but, these are going up in value so it’s not a dead loss. You’ll recoup it when you come to sell.

Any more photos of your inner arch refurbishment?

Thank you and keep up the great work.

Don't give up Gav. These things can get you down. You would have had to probably do these jobs on any E55k you bought, maybe more. The fuel tank may have been the one that's got you down but with your lad's operation looming, it is probably more bad timing than anything. Take your time, the car is coming along nicely and you have done a fantastic job. Some of it is maybe a bit OCD to many of us :D but will make a better finished product. Good luck.

Oh and if you need any help reducing the contents of the fuel tank, I'm sure you will not be short of offers :D

So i would just like to thank the Seller "Mr Fixit" THE FORUM member for selling me the car and disclosing the 2 ATF fluid changes only 100 miles apart before i bought the car not quite sure why you'd do that...

Just a thought but isn't that sort of standard if you don't drain the torque converter?

Thanks Bob, Re reducing fuel in the tank , i find using it for a 3 mile journey to my work in the mornings over 3 days does that very well, it returned 12mpg pmsl.

I don't ever do short trips but i wanted to get the level down quickly so i could get the car back in the garage without sticking the place out ;)

No more pic's Vick, More to follow before the weekend though as i will still be using it for London on 20th. That should get the fuel level right down ready for the new tank tobe fitted on the 28th.

So a couple more pic's tonight, Painted the Nsr and then started on the Osr, May give it another coat tomorrow, not to sure at this stage whether to keep it silver or go over with Black Waxyol? Humm..

Gav me old pal, you call those brakes?

Now these are what you call brakes...:D

God I miss that car, the state it’s in now would make you weep Gav..

What car is it Lee? I know it’s a Brabus but what kind?

It’s my old E55K estate...

WOW that car, with those wheels... is beautiful.

Bet you wish you hadn’t sold it

LOL holy monkies ....... £££s for those me finks....
Pads were about £400 iirc from Carbotech (great company by the way for performance braking)

The set, brand new was about £18,000 iirc (time dulls the memory and I can’t be ****d to double check!)

I sold it to my pal, he’d hankered after one for years.

He’s still got it now, but the front end is off while he’s tinkering (he’s a Mercedes mechanic) and knowing him it won’t be going on anytime soon!!

At least you know it’s being looked after :) I bet you’ll buy it straight back when he wants to part ways with it ;)

I could buy it back now if I wanted but it’d have to be more than he paid me so it’s a non-starter!
