Honestly Matt, that is very much appreciated sir, The support not only with advice with my car but even thoughts and wishes for my boy really does show what a cracking Forum this is.

Gav,
I have a fully refurbished set of the wheels that SPX has on his old wagon with New Pirelli SottoZero Winter Tyres on :)

Let me know if you like them. All the best with Great Ormond Street, will be thinking of you.

I've had so many kind wishes to our Son from fellow forum members i thought it was right to let you all know after a terrible few days we got to GSOH this morning and the Operation had tobe cancelled. We have deffered the Operation until which time my wife and i can build up the Courage and organise a suitable date within the very near future, our other Son is also ill and requires his scan early next wk he suffers from the same condition.

I'm sorry this bit isn't about the car but so many of you have passed on your good thoughts to us which we are so very humbled.

The car spat its Top Radiator Hose out whilst we had a last minute rush to London Friday Morning, Long story short No damage was done, and we got our Son to hospital on time for bloods.

New hose ordered and i managed to limp the car home without the Rad cap in place so as not to pressurise the system. "it worked" the Original pipe was corroded and didn't secure correctly into the radiator which is why it popped, I always carry spare Fluids with me just incase of this sort of event luckly.

Anyway thats enough of that, on with the thread, Car is running fine i have wire brushed the pipe down and refitted, I've covered around 100miles and all is well, But i will be fitting a Genuine new MB hose when the car has been into Mercedes on the 28th for the new Fuel tank tobe fitted.

Here is a picture of the New tank awaiting..

Thanks all again from my wife and i :thumb:

Bottom left mount is missing its rubber grommet. Make sure to remind them to reuse the old one.

Best wishes to your son and look after yourself. Kids are resilient little things. They soon forget what it was all about. It's usually us the parents who take the most hit in the end. Fingers crossed all goes well.

Havent really been upto much latly but wen tunder the car today to have a bit of a clean up, Treated all the plastics and took the rear gearbox mout and cross brace off to clean and refit. Surprising how little things do make a difference.

I'm dropping the car to my friend at mb on the 28th so will have everything crossed for a successful outcome...... Still abit peeved that Mb wont honour any warranty it's not that id expect it on a 14 yr old car but why should they treat the USA customers better than us? hey ho lol.

Warning Pic Heavy, Had a Massive detailing Session today, The car got caught in the Rain yesturday which lead me to Pressure wash it off and wash it in the rain.... LOL The neighbours do think im bonkers for sure so does the wife. Anyway it was a good time today to continue.

Zymol Paint cleanse followed by Zymol Carbon wax on top, Black trim/engine bay plastics/tyres door rubbers etc Megs tyre Gel, Slam panel door shuts G3 Resin Polish, Exhaust tips Autosol, Wheels G3 Resin. Arch liners and underfloor plastics were done with old engine oil.
