Meet Silvia the s211 e55 7 seater

On my CLS55 I think the "fix" was a lid change by the previous owner. But, if you have the whole piece ordered why not replace the whole lot?

Or find a lid from a good condition breaker. Have not looked into how common/uncommon the lids are across W211/W219

Because i'm Running Brand new Uprated Fuel pumps, so only need to change the lid

Here we go again then! Many thanks to Mercedes Benz Waterhouse Chelmsford btw :)

Fuel was leaking around the Electrical plug top side and the lid had a Hair line crack enough to let vapour out.

Nice to see another fix done. ^

I had a look at mine when the tank was out and all was good but I think @Alps had already done these.

Someone will be getting a stunning car, you must be very sorry to see it go.

The more I see these stunning S211 cars the more they grow on me and I keep thinking I must get one at some point.

It took me ages to find a 7 seater one, as you know there are quite a few ropey ones about. When i was looking for saloons i must have seen 6 or 7 all of which had dodgy paint or rust which wasnt disclosed so many have a hard life i cannot understand how people let there vehicles get in such a State.

I looked at a Estate at a Dealer in Banbury! thats around 150 miles from me, I was assured the car was spot on! no rust or broken trim, Thats one was 10k , you should have seen it!

Dad passed after a long battle with Cancer i was there upto the last moment, I Assured him i'd look after Mum, She has had a run of bad luck and she has got to sell her half of the house she currently shares with a Gentleman who she's friends with. "just one of those it didn't work out things" for either.

Mum is late 70's and has always been there for me, so i am keeping my promise to her and dad. It's all come abit of a sudden tbh but the sale of the car will help with all associated fee's in moving as i don't want to remortgage.

Its certainly a regretful sale.

If you get bored you are more than welcome to come clean mine :D

You wouldn't be the 1st person i've had ask lol, My wife thinks im nuts on how anal i am with my cars but i do tell her its so much quieter in the garage when we have 6 children. pmsl

7 WTF!! lol Hope my wife doesn't read that you will put ideas in her head!!

And all the best for yourself and Partner Sir you must be mad :wallbash::eek::D

Good luck with the sale Gav, hope everything with your house etc and mum goes smoothly :)

I’m sure when the time is right you’ll find another car to fettle. Part of the enjoyment is the journey and seeing it improve from your own work etc.

Hopefully yours goes to a good home

Good luck with the sale Gav... what a great car.
