Mercedes W114 250 Coupe - help!

You could try a bit of dismantling first if its going to scrap? Drilling a hole in the vented tank would give you an idea of what wall thickness you were dealing with if you wanted to chop it up prior to transporting.:dk:

It's in a very confined space and I don't want spatter everywhere. Anyway, Laurence, Tony2's s-i-l (who is built like the proverbial) has said he'll give a hand.

Stick on eBay - buyer collects...

Lateral thinking Mr B, I like it! However, while I have no car in the bay it can be dragged through the garage very easily and once it's on the drive it can go straight into Laurence's pick up.

Now to find an acceptable cheapie compressor for light duties.

Advertise it on ebay.

Some loon will pay you £50 for it and cart it away.

Problem solved and a bit of money towards its replacement.

Oh well, let's try it.

Incidentally, I picked up new rear light clusters (chrome, glass, reflector and seals) and headlight surrounds from Nick yesterday - they are in immaculate condition and could have just come from Bosch.

Help - how do I find out the engine number? Some parts need ordering and there is a choice depending on engine number.

The EPC refers to a part up to engine 980 10/50, 20/60 009370 or engine 980 12/52 22/62 11104.

I think mine qualifies for this part not the later one.

No I haven't decided to paint the car lime green. This is the coat of high build primer they use on less than perfect surfaces. Matt came in on Saturday to do it as he had a car accident on Friday (rear-ended) and Craig was busy flatting it back. The nice bright light is from the entrance door which was wide open so perishing today.

All the stands in the background are used for carbon fibre splitters, body kit, spoilers etc. Dan and Matt have recently started spraying these as a sub-contractor to Aston Martin and Mclaren, so it's nice to see two manufacturers following my example!

Apparently the paint for the car has been ordered but it doesn't appear to be tartan. Watch this space...

Apparently the car has been painted.

Tomorrow I hope to take some photos!
