My facelift Maserati Quattroporte.

It was only a matter of time. That's a beautiful thing, well done

Nice example to realise your dream with Lee, it looks better than I imagined it would do. Hope it works out well for you.
Thanks Pete, it looks even more stunning in the flesh, although the wife preferred the XFR!

Cheers Rob, however my ownership pans out at least now I can always say I've owned one.

Nice choice......will be interested in your thoughts on it over the next few months ...

Jules

I can definitively see you in a QP Jules...not a tunable choice and different but maybe food for thought:thumb:

Hows the E63TT hunt going?

Gorgeous car - my old boss had one of these. Can still remember what it sounded like when he drove out of work with the sound echoing off the buildings :D

There's something magical about that Ferrari block which in my mind doesn't need to be running at 8,000,000 BHP.

Maserati to me is all about looks, character and theatre which they do well.

I was just thinking the same - Rover 45 / 400 from C-pillar backwards

Nowt wrong wi Rovers. Landcrab was well before its time. Lee its a beaut, you know where I am should you stray to the right side of the Pennines. Now that would be a blast, over the tops and a quick skirmish over The Trough of Bowland as a distraction. Imagine the ears pricking up and the ne ks snapping in Sedburgh and Hawes as you make it a bit vocal as you go through.

Chers mate.

That pretty much sums it up for me too John.

Even though I've had umpteen boy racers try and provoke me into a race, I actually go the other way and just tootle along happily, driving one of these gives you a serenity I've never experienced before.

I'll send you one of the Queen's hats to wear, you just need to practice the wave :D

Great car - it was 5 years ago, but a guy who owned the company I worked for had one and took half shares in another one with a mate so they had one to drive when their's was back at the dealers. He had an Aston but got rid after 6 months and said the Maserati was the best car he ever had.

Pretty much the way I feel in the CL :thumb:

I'd be lying if I said I never drew any similarities between the QP rear and a Daewoo Nubira (pre-facelift lights and just the lights only).

More of a "reminds me of" than a "looks like" though.

Similarly for me - except no one has even tried to race me which is good (i.e. no one who is not familiar with the finer details of AMG vs non-AMG thinks it is an AMG!).

I'm really enjoying wafting around in serenity behind that double-glazing now although it's taken a good two months to really settle into a new driving style.

I don't miss road racing, I don't miss the stress of wondering if I will be caught speeding and I certainly don't miss the urge to rise to the bait, and quite happily enjoy sitting back and allowing the other cars to race off together.

I think after 23 years of doing the same thing - I'm relishing the change and I can't see me going back!

Great looking car......shame about your house though. Still sacrifices have to be made:rolleyes:

Who needs a house when you could live in that. It's lovely!

Lovely machine and I agree it has a great soundtrack. I do really like a 'beer and cigarettes' American V8 noise, but these beasties have a thoroughbred sound to make the hairs on your neck stand up. One of my friends has had three of them as he just loves them. Not the cheapest to maintain or service, but every time you hit the loud pedal, your mind empties of all mundane thoughts like that. Lovely motor - enjoy!
