I have the car debadged except for chrome MB Stars front and back so it is a personal choice.
Love the rims!! What spec are they? ET, width etc?

Enjoy it and change what you like as it will look good as a "Drug dealers" mobile or business man cruiser

Very nice!!! I changed my black badges back to chrome, I reckon it took 5 years off the car, if that makes sense. Still have black wheels. Will be doing my chrome window trims and boot handle black if I can get around to it.

Just looked on the cars Data card and it has Option Code 616 "BI-XENON HEADLIGHT W.ACTIVE CURVELIGHT LEFT-DRIVE", so it looks like it does have it just need to find out how to turn it on then check its working.

If you have no error messages on the dash then it's working. As soon as something is wrong with a headlight it will throw up a error message on the dash every time you start the car up.

I have already had one of mine fail last year, the headlights are approximately £650 each from Mercedes. Or you can get them from eBay (used) at a much cheaper price. For the W211/S211 I am lucky because sellers can't spot the difference so I get them at bargain prices (need to hunt for more spares ).

Suitable for the following models listed below with Comand APS NTG1:

E-Class from 2002 to 06/2008 (Model W211)

CLS-Class from 2004 to 04/2008 (Model C219)

SL-Class (R230) from 07/2004 to 04/2008

CL-Class (W215) from 09/2003 to 09/2006

S-Class (W220) from 09/2003 to 09/2005


SLK-Class from 03/2004 to 04/2008 (Model R171)

This Comand DVD is put into the Nav. DVD drive in the boot of the car. It is not suitable for cars that have a CD that only covers one to three countries in the head unit and not suitable for the latest model year 2009 facelift cars that have a built in hard disk. This disk has coverage for the following countries:UK (GB), A, AND, B, BG, CH, CZ, D, DK, E, EST, F, FIN, FL, GB, GBZ, GR, H, HR,I, IRL, L, LT, LV, MC, N, NL, P, PL, RO, RSM, S, SK, SLO and V. TMC coverage for UK (GB), A, B, CH, D, DK, E, F, GB, I, N, NL, S

Update instructions :-


Before you insert your new navigation DVD in the navigation computer, first switch on COMAND and then press the NAV button. Then remove the old navigation DVD from the navigation computer in the boot of the vehicle and insert the new DVD. After a brief wait, software loading bars will appear. When the loading bars disappear and the basic navigation menu appears, the first step of the update is complete. In step 2, COMAND will be re-initialised. To do this, switch off COMAND by removing the ignition key or by using the on button. Then lock the vehicle from outside and wait 2 minutes. Afterwards COMAND is fully operational again.

Not got a clue regarding wheel ET, Width etc.

Not a clue on the wheels, when its at Ollies on Friday I will take another look and see if I can gleam any more info.
Seriously if anyone is interested in these wheels I may sell they would preferably want to swap with cash either way for 19" AMG IIIs.
