MY01 firmware upgraded and no english, please help!

Ok, the languages are indeed in the firmware and not the map disc. It just happened that the languages take a lot longer to load than my previous firmware and I just didn't waited long enough

I left it on the config screen while driving just now and it finally let me choose different languages.. Problem solved, thanks everyone!!

Im interested in what Mercedes sell to Hong Kong... surely that must have some alternative?

I'm interested to know who makes map discs for the HK region, there must be some as I'm sure comand is an option out there.

None that I'm aware of, HK is such a tiny place and I guess no mainstream manufacter would care. COMAND is option here only to go along with TV-tuner etc I guess

I've seen people use a separate portable navi and display it on COMAND via AV adapter or TV-tuner, but that really defeats the purposes since all the controls must be done thru the portable navi

They only do Europe discs AFAIK, where do the USA discs come from?
