Ah decisions, decisions!

Plus the retention costs / getting plates done yourself! May just swing it....

Yeah, regarding the fees, you still pay the £125 fee rather than the £80 transfer if you want to collect the car on your plate, as you have to apply for retention given that the new vehicle (which hasn't even been built yet ) isn't yet registered - so you can't transfer it as such.

Like you say, the plates will be made by MB so no worries there.

My Wife is having my old car so we're transferring her plate onto mine, and MB are looking after all of it for me - they've been superb so far - nice touch offering to do both cars for us I thought

I thought that - when I've seen people on here posting pics of their cars in the showroom just before they're ready to be collected; not really on if other people are going in and out of it before you pick it up is it.. Or am I being a bit too precious

nah your right dont know if its wrong but i feel i should be the first CUSTOMER in it if ive gone through the whole spec and pay process - as i had arrived for pick up a i looked in the showroom saw the black alloys on the black sports plus (new was mine as apparently was the first to order that spec there ) walked closer and saw my personal plate then saw a guy hope out the front and was light nice car to the dealer ! dealer then said hi dr esho your car! - the customer nicely shuffled away

snap matey! lol i did the same it so had to go! ive ordered this to my work place as the different packages coming are starting to piss the mrs off lol! which one you go for? i went for the richbrooks amg one they are really good quality had audi ones of them on my audi - pic pic and link lol

Yes I went for the same one it should arrive on Friday. Did you get two I drive covers doc? I am quite fancying the affelterbach in black and if you ordered two I would buy it if not no worries...

hey mate i did but the affelterbach one was really poor quality compared to the one i kept so sent back and got refund - out of the two i would stick with the amg one as the other was peeling and not good at all but may have just been that supplier for the affelterbach one

ps car is looking sweeeeeeeeeet!

agreed! i did get a full apology i guess they were just trying to do what they do - SELL! - they have been really good doing odd nits and bobs free so guess il will forgive them lol..this time!

Awwww, that's a damn shame as I was leaning towards that style as a set for the iDrive cover and badges etc. Is there only 1 supplier of those?

nah there should be loads - but you know with these things from honk kong etc all usually from same factory but multiple sellers - it may have been a dodge one but as soon as i opened both i knew which one i was keeping i think because the one i kept was an easier design to replicate the quality was much better

you could risk it - ive had to send back my first bonnet badge as like kid davs was just not good enough!

Cheers doc ordered this morning, I still think I like the black affelterbach one better and like magoo I was going to match it with the bonnet badge. But I don't want to compromise on quality so I'll go on what you say... Every time I get car out for the Mrs on a morning (she isn't allowed to pull it in or out of garage) there is two things that niggle me 1. The silver grill (thats in hand and been sorted) 2. The bloody blue bonnet badge. Didn't like what I read earlier about the fitment not been quite right though as that would niggle me even more... I feel the OCD kicking in lol!

Thanks magoo, they do sound quite nice now the car is bedding in (totally different sound to when I had them fitted when the car was 4 days old) a low burble when its ticking over and a slight more of a throaty sound when you open it up... nothing too lound or boy racer though. Nothing like the RS4 i had before the Range Rover unfortunately... Although if I still owned that I wouldn't be here to write this, I would be doing a streach for speeding and loosing my licence or I wrapped round a tree somewere!! It had to go...

Erm.. in a word NO.. My cunning plan is to order it and get it delivered to my office then say i'm going to get the silver grill sprayed for a quarter of the price, she won't be too bothered then.
