Newbie brake pad question

Ordered some rear brake pads off EuroCarParts in May, went to get them fitted today and the bloke said they're the wrong type...

ECP didn't send what I ordered - I ended up with some Textar ones for a W124 (not sure if they would have fitted) but I suspect it might just be a difference between 1 or 2 retaining pins?

I'm not in a great hurry to take the wheels off and check, can I tell from my VIN what type I need?

On Detaili it's showing an option for either one or two pins:

with the deciding factor being the numbers after the F in my VIN but mine don't appear in the list!

You'll see on the ECP link there's loads of different types, what do I need?!

Ah, might have found out actually, using the EBC site...

One pin (cos it's an estate, and without ASR)

I had the same experience about year ago in that they took the VIN for the car and gave me the wrong set - not compatible with the sports calipers on the car!! Most frustrating - although they collected and changed them free of charge from the garage doing the work.

Redeemed themselves at the 11th hour imo.

i changed front on e320 a/garde but part no's did not match with what i wanted . rang ecp told bloke what i wanted he said i need to speak to merc bloke. spoke to merc bloke and the ones i wanted from online ordering were wrong ones . he scanned parts and got me proper ones .most satisfied with goods and service.
