Ordered a C63 Today

Welcome to MB, I am sure you will enjoy the c63, it's in a different league to the S3.

Gearbox will not be as quick as the double clutch in your S3 but it's not slow either.

But the one and only thing I find is so crap ( well it is on mine ) is the gearbox !! I find if your driving around in comfort mode and not in any hurry its great. The minute the red mist sets in and you wanna floor it no matter what you do, leave in auto or go on the paddles into sport, the gearbox goes "ahhhhhrrrrrrrrr whats going on !!! I find it so awkward. I tend to try n use manual mode on the paddles as much as I can and the change up when on full chat is painfull.

Is there an AMG button on a C63?

Is the mode selected via the dial?
A button next to gear lever. Press it once goes from auto comfort to auto sport press again for manual and again back to comfort. Not sure if its the same on newer models.

Something Im not so sold on is the 19s, I love the look of the optional 18s (grey flat face)

Anyone have them, or pics on a saloon?

I prefer these wheels on a C63 as well. They look far easier to keep clean too:D

On the 2012/13 models the dial turns clockwise, C, S, S+, M. & RS ( Race Start)

18s are far to small on the car. the 19s are perfect. Anyone who thinks the ride is harsh on the 19s is kidding themselves and has never been in a bm sport car or an audi s-line car. They have much firmer rides.

That video is a bluefin. I mapped it after with revo.

I've changed order to the optional 19s and black, with porcelain leather, oh and added the reversing cam! (Other spec of the silver is still on it)

Update on this, the dealer couldn't get the black one.

Got a vm yesterday saying that he'd got me a silver saloon, silver 19s, HK and DAB. Just not sure i want that car. Looks, erm...a bit boring?
The only way to make it look decent is to get the wheels powder coated black with the oem style polished lip, get a carbon spoiler and get some h&r springs? But is that just pointless on a new car?

I need a car for the end of the month and he's got me a great deal for payments etc but I'm just not 100% sold on a iridium silver saloon. It's took 4 weeks to secure this car and not sure I want to risk saying no to that then trying to find another.

Or try get my 2k deposit back and buy a R8 or alpine e90 m3? Lol

Basically, re create this..which I saw at merc Manchester. Probably wouldn't need the springs as I think* pp is the same ride hight as a standard one? Also, the black bit in the centre lower section on the front bumper, is that standard or a Pp thing?

Know it's just a minor little mod but the carbon lip rear spoiler on silver does so much for that car. Black wheels I'm not so sure. Think the black trim in middle of front bumper is standard for that year.

Looking at it on my phone so can't see that clear but looks like the boot badges are black ??
