Can't begin to think what's happened Peter, unless the landlord asked them to move on :(

Don;t normally move on quite that quickly

We must've have just missed you. Sorry.

We got taken by Jason on a fast cross country route to his local........very hot brakes...!

Well done to Jason for organising this. It was good to put a face to some names. :D

Matts CL65 was lovely. Amazing sound. Pleasure to meet Lee (Anarchy) Brian, Mark. Bob (Sportyreptile), Imadoofus and Shuan (Thsshaun). I know I forgotten dsomeone as I thought there were 9 cars - so many new names to remember so little time. Help me out someone.

Nice cars - real mixture CLK/CL/W211E x 2/ E320/S500/C240 and C43.

Yep, sorry we missed you Peter :(

Good to see new faces, and old (Brian :D ) had a good afternoon in a nice part of the country.

Used quite a bit of fuel, but it was worth it, mind when filling up yesterday the guy at the petrol station said 'see you next week', I replied, 'no, see you tomorrow!'.

Had a race with a 610bhp SL55 Kleemann on the way home, he didn't overtake me - until I got to the limiter, and then he went past me!!

Will have to get that limiter removed sharpish!!!!

That must have been some tussle! What stretch of road can you hit the limiter?

A certain motorway (without giving too much away!)
I did smile and put my thumb up when he went past me, but he didn't want to look at me.

Not sure how much all those mods cost him on an SL55, but surely he would have been better just buying an SL65 ??!

Cant even begin to remember all the names but was good to see you all. Put some pics up later as i am just having a quick coffee before I'm back out the house.

Maff look both ways when pulling out of junctions ;)

Was a good couple of hours enjoyed it will be going to more.

Didnt think I was going to make it home though as coming up the M40 I saw a plume of smoke come out of a 106 and chuckled to myself waiting for the indicator to come on and for hime to pull onto the hard shoulder. Shure enough it did but as he tried to steer on the car twitched and I thought oh sh1t  Slowed down rapidly which was a good job as he did a 360 spin across inside lane and back onto the hard shoulder

Ended up pointing south.

Anyway

Later
:)

Well I enjoyed myself; thanks everyone for turning up (including Peter, sorry we missed you :) )

Matt's car is awesome in the flesh, and I have to say, It's just as awsome four-up from half a mile away

Shaun, your C43 is immaculate, and really cool (even if it is silver). I reckon there's somebody not too far away that rrrrreally wants one :)

As for everyone else, well we were all overshadowed somewhat by the Black Beast, but it was good to meet you all, nice to have a good turnout, and on such a blummen nice day too! (my car said 21deg on the way home). I look forward to doing it again.

PJ

ps: Matt, are you sure that car doesn't have a fist-sized hole in the fuel tank?

Good pics mine are about the same. Thought I had got away with showing my face on them but I am next to Matt on the first pic.

:D But then he would hit the limiter. :o

I am just about to read the article on the horrible looking 720bhp V12 CLS ;) Never liked them and the black wheels really add fuel to the fire. (but I digress as usual)

Take care,
John

Oh and I reckon you will soon be planning your routes to include Optimax selling fuel stations :D
