PCS GTG on the 12th of May 2012

Thanks for the route SavMan! I'm thinking of heading off around 8 too, might be a few of us around :D

I've been looking forward to this PCS GTG for some time.

Olly and Jack have been so good to me since I joined MB Club by providing many things you just can't get at a Mercedes-Benz dealership.

Many of my favourite members will be in attendance, but as things stand, it's highly unlikely I'll manage to get there. :(

I hope the weather holds up and a good time is had by all. :thumb:

Weather is looking good chaps, hava a great day and please don`t forget pictures

Looks like we have a beautiful day for it, gents. I'll be seeing you in a couple of hours.

Cheers,

Gaz

Morning all,

I have been reading this thread avidly since it started and would love to be there meeting you all today, unfortunately other commitments preclude me from attending.:(

Hope you all have a great (and safe) day, and am already looking forward to seeing all the photos (including a couple of the hog!!).

Regards, R.

Hope you all have a great day. The sun has got his hat on, well up here he has.:thumb:

Just back from the GTG, what a great day out :).

Lovely drive there and back with the roof down, got to stretch the car's legs a couple of times ;). Great company and conversation, and of course thanks to Olly for his legendary hospitality!

Thanks also to Alx for the ride in his twin-turbo monster , a car that big shouldn't be able to accelerate like that. I wouldn't swap your fuel bill for mine though, and that's saying something..

Cheers,

Gaz

Great day, amazing effort by Ollie and all at PCS, nice to meet everyone and to see some great cars

Yup, another great GTG at Olly's. Weather fantastic to the point I now have one sunburnt arm (thanks Will  )
That Hog roast was on another level! Wonderful, compliments to the chef :thumb:
Great to see faces old and new. Sorry if I stared blankly at some, I have a terrible memory for names :o
A great collection of awesome machinery again, my lil'old oil burner has quite an inferiority complex now....

Thanks Olly, Jack and Matt for letting us all get in the way as you worked away. Jack must have had his weetabix this morning, those E55 front discs were huge!

Be seeing you guys again real soon! ;)

A great sunny day out at PCS, a big thankyou to Olly, Jack, Jacks brother, Matt, and to all the people that were doing the catering on Olly's behalf, the food and drink were fantastic, enjoyed everything on the table, alot of effort had been put in to keep us guys fed and watered to that standard, excellent enjoyable day.
Really good to re meet up with alot of known faces to me, Alx, C240 sport 97, Gaz 1, Brabus SL and his two sons and his mental Brabus SL, and also Alps and Sav man, who are both a mine of information about their cars, enjoyed speaking with you all, as well as a few new faces I got to talk to. There was lots of lovely cars there, but as a personal preference, thought Alps silver E55, fitted with everything, was a picture, my own car very poorly cleaned, little embarassing really, (hose pipe ban, UGHHH!). As Gaz1 mentions, the passenger ride in Alx CL600, whoo, that car has some power, eye opening.

A thanks again to Olly and his crew, and the few chats we had, and thanks additionally for your work on my car this afternoon.

Will see a few of you at Goodwood next Saturday, don't forget your driving licenses and crash helmets.

Thanks Olly.

Olly, thanks for organising and laying on the food and refreshments, so glad the sun came out for you and all that came along.

All, nice to have put some new faces to names, and meet with existing friends, hope to see you all again soon. A great day - now I'm way waiting for all the lovely pics from the camera experts :-).

Many thanks to all at PCS, their band of helpers and obviously Olly for a super day out. There is little to beat eating freshly roasted piggy (a feeling I have had since a child being read Charles Lamb's Dissertation on roast pork not long after an encounter with Porchetta in Frascati) and that is eating it in the sun surrounded by rather lovely cars. Apart from the round of old and new faces, I learned more than I thought I would ever be interested in on paint depth from Will (aka Dieselman - a new face who bears an uncanny resemblance to Bill (BTB500)), the amount of heat energy produced by a V12 (ditto) and that I must, must, must have, my C55 de-moggied (to throw any actual or putative MOT testers out there off the scent of feline) having listened to Justin's C55 being given a blip or two by Olly.

I even had my C55 cleaned and vacuumed for the occasion. Not quite like arriving at Badminton in one's Range Rover (arise Lord Oliver) but we know our place..:)
