Watch this space my little grey cells are working overtime to try and come up with the next event, but this breakfast run will be a hard act to follow if I do say so myself :D

And for the next one I'll clear my diary for lunch too. My Dad used to take me round Thornton le Dale as a nipper. That was nice, no idea what the roads and food are like round there now though. This appears to be in Yorkshire though - pity.:D;)

The next one will take some thinking about, quite a few people asked me to organize something near Christmas (December)but also some people put their MB into hibernation for the winter, me included unless its sunny or dry. So we need an event that it doesn't matter what car you turn up in (not that it ever did), have a bite to eat and a natter and hopefully do something Interesting. I see this as a bit of a Midlands event, so anywhere from Birmingham in the South to Leeds In the North. All suggestions welcome whilst I mull this over :thumb:

Heritage at Gaydon has been mentioned - huge car park, lots of cars and a restaurant:
Heritage Motor Centre Motor Museum, Gaydon

40ish miles south of Bham though.

^I'd be up for that as nice and local!

Next event in planning but I need feedback first

Dear All

Before I start a new thread on the next event I would like to enlist your help and get some feedback.

On the last breakfast run some members commented it was too early and for that reason put off a few partners coming along.

So my next plan is another run this time moving from the Peak District into Lincolnshire, however my choice of route depends when the majority want to eat so I thought I would start a poll to gauge interest then I'll make the final arrangements at the weekend.

So it's either a run with a breakfast stop, lunch stop or both the choice is yours

For a breakfast stop we would leave at 08:45 and breakfast at 09:30 ish
For a lunch stop we would leave at 11:30 and lunch at 12:30 ish
For both we would leave 08:30 breakfast at 09:30 leave the breakfast stop at 11:30 and stop for lunch around 12:30 ish

The breakfast only option takes up just a morning so the rest of the day is free to get on with what you want to do, the other two options take the majority of the day.

Bearing in mind I'm planning this early December (Probably 8th) I thought it would be a nice Christmas GTG :thumb:

I've voted for both, but I'm easy Ian, however, it will be entirely weather dependant, and once the salt is down, you won't see me.

I will probably be in the Volvo if its wet and the salt is down so this will be a run open to all marques not just MB :thumb:

If the salt is down well I be a'coming in my Mercedes. No garage queen mine, any of em. It is what it is and its for fun, freedom and practicality. And all that was meant in the best possible taste.

Ha ha, I don't think I've ever had a garage queen (well, the bike perhaps), but I do try to stop the crud getting the lacquered diamond cut wheels as they aren't the easiest to refurb .

I've just returned from a week in the peaks, missing the area already.

I will hopefully make this!

This sounds my cup of tea..
Both get my vote.
Its a pity that Breakfast is sooo late as you have missed the best part of the day by 08.30:rolleyes:
