The story goes as follows, I enquire by phone for the price and availibilty on a pair of wings for a w202,
The reply was yes sir we have loads that will be £25 each plus vat, i asked is there any rust or dents on them as i want mint ones? they will be minters sir was the reply.
I asked how much is postage 15 pounds was the reply, ok thats fine was my responce, so i asked are they allready removed from the car? yes they are was the reply. so i said thank you leave it with me.
Then i thought sod it ill collect them incase of damage when they get posted, 70 miles later im at their premises, go to the desk and say blah blah i rang earlier etc,
ok ill take a look he says "he fafs around on the computer" sorry but we dont have any removed, but theres a few cars in the yard do you want to come out and choose some?
yeah ok then and off we go, well there was at least 8 pairs in but they were all scrap, they were either rotten, dented or had scrapes on then.
so you can imagine im not feeling happy by this stage, i told the lad i rang earlier ans was offered a pair of minters, who did you speak to he said? I aint got a clue mate just a bloke, oh right ok was his reply so he went back in the office and made some enquiries.
He returned a few mins later to say i don't know you've spoken to but we sell new ones for £45 plus vat,
I dont want new pattern ones mate ive more chance of getting a corsa wint to fit and i can buy those where i live, not drive 70 miles to here and get them , i wanted some good second hand original ones.
