Re-Map or Tuning Box!

Is watford to far for you to travel to as we can remap it for you.

We also have in house dyno so if you wanted we can give you before and after read outs of what the car is doing.

Watford Herts isn't too far, where are you exactly? Your website seems to be down.

Questions:-

1. How much to remap a 2014 E220 cdi
2. What are the advantages of using the rolling road, is it simply to get before and after numbers?

Think you may be well looked after with Paul and Andy. Just make sure they feed you well. :D

Andy sent me a PM and explained what they do and how it works.

It's also comforting that he drives 250cdi himself.

Add these to two things to the reviews provided by other forum members and I feel quite comfortable booking in with them.

I realise my car isn't exciting and I'm actually looking to do this to lose some flat sports and create a more linear and smooth driving experience rather than create a tuned beast.

I regret not buying the E350cdi, but not enough that I need to change this car. With a small tweak and the power delivery changed I think it will make a big difference. So I'm quite looking forward to see how the car performs post remap.

They are seriously good guys and very dedicated to what they do. I'm sure that they will try to get the best they can out of your motor without compromise.

They also have silly cars by the way. :)

Don't know if they can do it on yours but if you want smooth, you may want the TCM (transmission control module) done. It made my CLK so smooth through all the gears!!!

please keep us posted as with my e250 coupe out of warranty next month I'm definitely toying with spending the potential extended warranty money on a remap if I can get noticeable power results. Cheers!

Finally had mine remapped so now get the full benefits of the smaller pulley wheel .

Its not a mad map but it does lift its skirts now, not that it was slow before, sounds daft but it makes the car feel lighter ?

Very happy.

Just to get my thread back on track!..........i have decided after new thoughts on the subject to go for a re-map by Olly down at Horndean......original map is saved if needed again.

Bit of a drive for me from Dover in Kent ......i will update when all done but will be in a few weeks time...

Be worth it Keith, and Olly will look after you as well. :)

I'm only down the road from Olly & am contemplating if I do get a remap, whether to go Eurocharged or PCS.

Let me know how you get on - very interested!

I will be back with the situation after the remap.......i have read and read and read and read about maps and boxes and just when i was going to give up and not bother i just decided on an email to Olly and he returned my message quickly and professionally and answered all that i had asked him, which i was quite surprised at as most others were like politicians never answer your question direct but change direction to suit themselves......one company even asked me to tell them by email why i said no!

Well Olly get`s my vote .......he wanted me to phone but i don`t like phone conversations me being a bit mutton Geoff!

Pardon! :bannana:

I'm sure Olly will do a fine job for you. Did you go for the TCM remap as well, if available?

I've been to PCS on a few occasions & can't fault their service. What's a TCM remap?

Transmission Control Module - on my CLK55 I had a Eurocharged re-map and the TCM done, it made it very smooth changing gears working well with the new map

Sounds good, I've seen them on offer from someone but can't recall who...

What is it all of a sudden with "in yer face" advertising for re-maps!!...

Everywhere i go to click there is TDI Tuning.....it is starting to grind on me...

Just like this modern era... computers designed so you have one click then along comes an advert so you need two clicks to get where you want...can`t see the logic, or am i too old already?

This is one reason i won`t have TDI Tuning they just throw it at you, i like to take my time ....

Sounds a good idea that TCM... but i have just had the ATF changed and it`s been on Star and i never know what gear i`m in as it does it so smooth....the bit i like is must be in 7th then i knock the lever to the left and it will drop straight to 4th for overtaking with no jerk ,nothing ,don`t even know it has done it except when i look at the dash for reference!...
