, in depth public inquiry into this matter. If any evidence is forth coming then heads will roll.

The vehicle is booked in and just to add to the confusion. Just like the Queen I don't pay the VAT so the saving will pay for the alloy wheels and I will be getting the newer back lights as per the picture very kindly posted by Flash.

I expect to have the nrew vehicle back in situ before the end of this month.

I have just been in contact with the bodyshop and they've had a cancellation so the van is being collected tomorrow and will be away for approximately 14 days.
All flowers, grapes, fruit, cards etc can be posted to:

My van
Exway Coachworks
Paignton

Thanks again for all the excellent advice, jokes and puctures.

I am printing off a picture of the Chav van and asking them to spray it like that

Exway Coach Works

Hi John,

Don't wish to put a damper on things, but a friend has just got his Ford pick-up back from Exway, after a front end shunt, the vehicle took a month to fix (it was driveable so not seriously damaged), they supplier wouldn't provide them with parts.

The truck (Black Ford Ranger Twin Cab) was delivered back last week - they hadn't repaired everything, still scratches on the front - and this was an insurance job! So has to be booked in again.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for that :( :D
On a serious note my first choice was Paignton Autobodies but there bake oven was too small, Vigurs were simply not interested, someone then recommended Wikinsons but the boss couldn't find it and we finally stumbled across this place. I was impressed with the chap that asessed the vehicle, then the manager came out for a chat and that put my mind at rest??

I take onboard what your saying and will definitely not settle for a second rate job. The place looked like a typical insurance repair workshop, but they were friendly, very helpful and put themselves out, plus they have a low bake oven. I do take onboard the fact that folks say modern paints don't need baking, but with a dust free low bake facility the vehicle should not have any dust flecks drying onto the freshly applied paintwork? (that's my theory and I'm sticking to it)

I'm impressed that all the light units are coming off because Flash has talked me into getting the newer tail-lights, so off with the old and on with the new without any costs for fitting.

I've contacted the main dealer and Sprinter have there own alloys, so they are sending me down a catalogue. ;)

Boy will I have fun teasing the butler from across the road, I will convince him this is our third Sprinter   :D

John

I thought you meant this queen:devil:
You could have at least posted pictures from the Bicycle song :o :o

The body-shop have been in touch and they have had a good chat with the paint manufacturers who have put our minds at rest regarding any bleaching similar to what I haver experienced with this vehicle. I must confess to thinking about spraying the roof silver but just can't convince myself it would look right?

John the indecisive

No, if they are saying that then take them at their word IMHO.

I think naturally this colour/metallic finish will be much less susceptible to bleaching. Keep the whole lot Tealite.

I agree with Carrotchomper, metallics wont bleach and you certainly don't need to paint the roof silver.

I'm with you guys,
I suppose a couple of days without sleep gets the old mind working overtime. I have even sent them a copy of Mrs DM's chavmobile and stated I want it sprayed.... Just like that!:D (Said in my best Tommy Cooper voice)

The next job I suppose is letting both the insurance company and the DVLA know my stretched limo has had a face lift. :o :o :o Poor brain is going into zombie mode but I can't work out if that's an improvement or deterioration. I was also looking on the web-site at the Lazurite blue but not having the oppurtunity to see this colour in the flesh has ruled it out.

John
