Hi all i am new to this forum but after a lot of google searching this is the place to be for mb help.
I have purchased a c220 2002 for my dad. at first drive the car felt great however when the heater was turned on there was a diesel smell coming from the cabin. i opened up the engine cover to see one of the injectors leaking ever so slightly. i bought new seals all round and upon reinserting the bolt it snapped. i know it was silly not to get new clamps.
but now the problem is that i cannot seem to get the stuck clamp out. i have tried drilling a hole in the old clamp but it is too deep to get a proper hole in and use an ez out.
i began rethreading the hole with an 8mm bolt but for some reason the injector does not sit in correctly. i am out of ideas now and i do not know what to do.
is there a mercedes specialist around the birmingham area that can do this?
please let me know your ideas and suggestions
kind regards
