Thanks for the heads up on the Scottish tour Steve. I'll come along on this one as I've toured the vast majority of the Scottish highlands with work (travelling to various telecom sites) so Lake District would be something new.
Just hope it doesn't rain like the last timeI was there!
I'll do an overnight on the Friday 5th at the hotel you've posted a link to and head home after the tour on Saturday.
If the dates need to change, I can do the 29th/30th March but not 22nd/23rd March or 12/13th April due to work commitments.

I'll try nab a room, but theres a few hotels in Pooley bridge and area amnd TBH, the 1030 kick off time gives ample time if you are not that nearby worst case. Just gimme a call/text and will wait on yous

Ah, superb, thanks for confirming the dates are set. I will book a hol on Friday 5th and call the hotel tomorrow. If they're full, I'll just do my usual and look on laterooms.com on Thursday 4th!
I've got an estate, I might just kip in the car somewhere if its warm enough...LOL

Seems it is....I didn't get the impression there was a problem getting a room so reckon we could fill all 9 from this forum!
Dinner for all at 8'ish then! If anyone who wants to join us for dinner asks to add themselves to the table booked for Andrew Palmer, I'm sure we can all squeeze in!
I really am looking forward to squeezing my SLS down the narrow Lake Districts routes - it'll need to breathe in for some of them! Or...do I bring the E class to be on the safe side???

Just take it easy, I'll not lie, some of the passes are really narrow but you'll make it. Theres not a lot of bigger roads to open the taps up however the car will have a sense of drama and excitement about it.
