The EV fact thread

Leave the heavily prejudiced to their own nonsense. Shake it off, shake it off..

Joanna Public buys cheap hatchbacks: more than half of new car sales, and virtually all the Top Ten UK sales every year.

Does that mean the industry has to turn Chinese & Korean ?

Probably.

Not all of this is EV 'fact' and the China observer is Chinese owned overseas based anti Communist organisation . But this tell part of an emerging story . OK they had to start with pictures of Chinese EV's blowing up , but that appears just to grab attention.

The latter part of the broadcast is far more interesting than film burning EV's . Bit of an eye opener regarding the Chinese EV car market and the future supply/recycle of Batteries.

Maybe but it’s all speculation as the cars aren’t old enough to know. The cars which are old enough to know - like 2014 Tesla Model S - have potentially been “supercharged” for 10 years but are holding up quite well.

There was a 2017 MS for sale on FB with 440k miles that sold in 2 days - it was a damn bargain and the drivetrain warranty was still valid for over a year and a half! The car still looked brilliant. It was also still on original battery/motors - these cars really do soak up the miles with no worries.

Can you imagine how many oil changes an ICE would have had in that life!

Prepare yourself for the,
"Yeah buts" 🙂

Whatever. How do you know it sold ?

Now, there are dozens of these Carriage Trade fellas working perfectly outside every German railway station and airport, and still looking immaculate, inside and out.

Yeah but nothing new there - plenty of oil burners doing that, my point was that people panic about batteries and motors when in reality they are extremely reliable even on high mileage examples.

Beat me to it. 🙂

Whatever....

Half the country has below average intelligence. Leave them to it. They'll be proved wrong in time. There's no sense in debating with idiots.

If people think that there are huge queues at all EV chargers, when there visibly aren't, why bother with them?

Now, why is this petrol burner "worth" this? Or a price not that far away from it. (Trust me, they're interesting, but not at all well made)

EV haters are similar to iPhone haters in that they have probably never owned or used one for any length of time.
"Iphones and MacBooks: they'll never catch on, will they?

"Who would want a computer that 'you can't pull apart and modify, or a phone that just has a few more games?'"

Petrol engines C6's are rare. Most were diesels. All french cars have foibles, you could call it character if you like, but C6's are well screwed together cars in the main.

Amen, but £17k ? It's no Déesse. There's no General DeGaulle in a C9

The price is comical but as it is ULEZ compliant because it is one of the rare petrol C6's models then maybe someone in the zone may feel the need to pay over the odds for it.
Just checked: only three petrol Linages in the UK. So you can only find another ...two.
