I saw a C class with a CLK320 badge, can't understand why someone would do that, and saw a C220CDI with an AMG badge! I think these people must have just upgraded from their Corsa with big bore Exhaust!
I think what you need is a big engine 320/430/55 and an E200/220cdi badge would be worth a laugh.
You should have seen this merc diesel go

Pretty certian i read somewhere recently that you cant buy the c320 badge it comes as clk320 and you have to cut the letters to suit, so poss had some body work.

So there's no chance, at all, that this is a genuine CLK 55 AMG?
Bodyshop guys aren't always the brightest, they could have rebadged it for the owner following paintwork on the rear-end.
Alloys are easily changed.
I will admit I know little about the W209, after all the only one I've spent any serious time with is the CLK 63.

someone on the M1 put a quad exhaust on his CLK (no back box on the other 2 pipes and then put a Brabus badge on it!

My son has a very nice new VW Gti and he is conitinually being 'burnt off' at traffic lights and no doubt these children will go onto their 'Nova' forums and brag about how they smoked a Gti, but so what, who cares and even if it were a genuine CLK 55AMG,Iam positive that there will be immature drivers that will try to out drag it.
Infact read our forumand we have these'Barry Boy' nerds that boast about how they 'raced' against a BMW 9 series and blew it away.
If folks want to stick badges onto their pride and joy then 'what ever floats their boat'
Perhaps they dream of buying such a nice carcl55 amg

I have a CL55 AMG, the previous owner has put the V8 Kompressor badges on the side. Would you remove them? as I think they look smart and match the chrome around the windows...

Fake boobs (push up bras and gel), false teeth, toupees and wigs, unisex heels, etc are no different really from glued on M Sport, V8, GTi and AMG badges. Each to his/ her own. Afficionadoes will always sport the fakes a mile away.

Well I saw an AMG-badged M class the other day. It was a white stretch limo. And the AMG badges were on the C Pillars.

I personally think it's pathetic to be honest, it's laughable sticking fake badges on their none AMG mercs, specially the wrong way round lol.
Plus It just gives a bad name to AMG

one thing i have noticed in the last month was the number of mercs with duplicate badging..
recently I saw a 2003 s class with v12 badges on the c pillar, the boot lid, and one of the front wings (not on the door guard, but on the metal)
then to top it off, it had s600 badges on the boot and c pillars...
i wish i had my cam that day... but yuk yuk yuk

Less is more IMHO.
My Brabus kit came with about 800000000 different badges and stickers for everything from engine bay, boot, wings, windows - you name it. I flogged them all on eBay and left the car looking smooth and beautiful.
I did see one the other day where every sticker/badge in the kit had been put on the car and it looked bad.
But even manufacturers do it with bl00dy V8 badges on the sides and things in the grille and more car park bling than anyone except somebody in Dhubai needs.
