Turning off ECO stop start W204 for good

Do the following to permanently turn off “Eco Start/Stop”

On the Multimedia System (Not the “Multifunction Display”) starting from Radio.

1. Push the control wheel up to bring up the menu, select “Vehicle”. using the wheel, Turning it clockwise then press on it.

2. Spin the wheel until you find “Dynamic Select” Press the wheel to select.

3. On the right had side use the wheel to select your preferred settings.
( I like the following:
Drive: Sport
Climate Control: Comfort
Eco Start/Stop: Off
Steering: Comfort
)

4. Exit and go back home (it saves automatically)

5. Using the “Dynamc” Switch, Select “Individual” you will find it before “Eco” or after “Sport+” (Mine is just after Sport+, Which is better because if you want to exit your “Individual” settings and switch to “Sport+” you only have to flick the switch down once, instead of going through all the options) You should see a little I* icon on your “Multifunction Display”.

Now every time you start your engine you no longer have to turn “Eco Start/Stop off by hand.

Multifunction: Screen by the speedo
Multimedia System: Screen on the center console.

All details are correct on a GLC350 Sport.

Wrong car.

You can reprogramm the function to remember the last chosen selection from the button. You need Vediamo or DTS Monaco and SD box to do it :) its 10min job if somebody knows what their doing :)

Comand UK tried it but then said this option was not available for my car (W204).

Same for transmission S/E selection...

It is available :) you have to know how to do it :) you do not switch this option off, you only change the functionality of it :) as I said obly through Xentry it is not possible

Does selecting sport mode not cancel it?
On newer car ECO mode is linked to the E transmission program.

My 2013 W204 has the first generation of the Stop/Start system first introduced in 2011, and the ECO function is separate and works independently of the transmission shift program.

That's another thing I asked Comand UK to look at, i.e. if the ECO can be activated with E (and turned-off with S), but again they said this option was not available on STAR for my car.

You can only change coding through Vediamo or DTS Monaco that uses SD hardware. I have done this on mine :)

They used Vediamo. But I accept that there's a myriad of options on STAR and Vediamo and unless you know where to look, you might not find it. In fact they did not actually say it couldn't be done, just that they can't see the option for it when my car was connected.

I can try to look for the setting again and post the picture :)
