Unmarked Police Cars

Today alone I have seen:

2 Mondeos
1 5 series
2 Passats

In a variety of colours, blue, silver, dark red..

All with flashing lights and sirens - must have been some sort of big CID op in central London.

sorry about the last reply i hit the send button to early.it should of read last time i spotted one it was a 5 series bmw estate with two blue spot lamps flashing at me,luckly the "nice officer"just made me feel 10years old and told me to turn down the cruise control,now i dont trust anyone following at a safe distance

Lincolnshire Police regularly use 1 officer in unmarked cars, grey volvo estate is the last one iv seen

We (Hemel/Watford) only seem to get black Vectras with the distinctive blue lights bolted onto front and rear bumpers.

Colchester has (what I've seen) countless Volvo S60/V70's unmarked + at least 1x Bmw 3-series.

We do also have marked Scooby's.

Here we have marked and unmarked scooby's that ive noticed, and what appears to be a growing fleet of unmarked BMW estates, most seem to be a crappy dark grey colour.

They stand out a mile though as they are always in deprived areas which instantly make you pay more attention to them, and its then very easy to spot the police men inside them.

SN59 CFD

Unmarked Volvo V70. Lothian and Borders police. This was on the A68 which is a trunk road between newcastle and edinburgh.

Note the lights intergrated into the body. The policeman challenged me as to why I was taking pics of his car. Told him I never seen an unmarked car. Didnt tell him was going to plaster it all over the web

as far as i know..there uniform makes them a look a lot bigger so if yu see a big bloke driving a 406 than theres a good hint its a copper and usually you can see the outlines of the badges on the shoulder from behind etc

we have totally unmarked cars here in Ontario, but mainly these rascals called ghost cars - fully marked but faded out so you cant tel til you're up close & personal so to speak

these are local patrol cars -

the OPP ( Ontario Provincial Police) use only black & white cars & really hard to tell at any time marked or not if they are behind you - Sometimes you can make out the oversize front bumpers on some.

Still hard to tell - even the roof lights are low profile & clear and no markings on the bonnet/hood.
