W140 - Se500 - Gearbox needed!!!

i am looking for an automatic gearbox
to fit mercedes w140 se500 (1992)
with 119 engine? ... in good condition

Theres a gearbox specialist in west london who did my w140 gearbox, ill try to remember his name.

Your best options are probably the specialist mercedes breakers. I've used three pointed parts quite a few times and always had good service.

Carl at w140.co.uk would easily be able to find you the part you need, but does charge a bit more than most parts places. At least you'd know you were getting the right box for the car though.

If it's a 4 speed box you'll need a 722.370

If it's a 5 speed box you'll need a 722.620

I would give Carl a call. He is a specific W140 breaker. If you buy a transmission from him it will be decent.

Maybe that came out wrong....

I certainly don't mean carl charges too much, I've bought loads of parts for my w140 from him, and been very satisfied with prices and service. Specialist breakers tend to be a bit more expensive than general car breakers because they know what they're selling, but that also means they know how to test the parts and remove them without destroying them. That imho opinion makes them a far better option.

I would have no hesitation in buying parts from Carl at w140.co.uk and will no doubt continue to do just that.
