See enclosed pictures.

Interesting. I look forward to seeing this progress.

Reminds me of the Snooper that someone integrated into the cowl of the standard fit parking sensors. Done a search and can't find it now. That was similarly clever and subtle.

As soon I finish the complete mods I will let you have all the details.
Verry soon...............

This looks interesting, the camera looks neat I like the look of this so far, keep us posted :D

Sorry to kept you waiting so long but I had some compatibility issues with the camera on the photos of my first post and also on some other cameras I have tested. The issue was loss of chroma therefore the image on the Comand was black and white.
The camera imput in the Comand must be verry demanding what get connected to it.
Here we are, below is a photo of my first camera I did instal, it was doing its work properly but I did not like the way it looks from the back , for me it was covering the rear plate a bit too much.

And this is what I have achieved today

And here is how I done it by using your existing boot handle lever.
You will have to cut 30mm of the lever plate and 22mm down as you can see from the photo below.

This is the camera I used

Nice pics. So...where did you buy the camera? Thanks.

This is camera and bracket mounted on a spare handle where I have carried out all the tests. The M6 screw on the photo is there for test purpose only.
But when I fitted the camera on the car handle , it is no possible to use the original screw, I used instead a M6 countersink screw

As you can see in the photo below

Tye the cables with the existing wiring harnes and install the trunk lid paneling

Looks very neat.
Questions
1, where or what is the camera from?
2. how did you connect it up to the comand unit?

Lynall

Connect power for the camera to the rear reversing light and the video signal cable to the back of the comand or any other monitor.
And this is what you should get....

While I was waiting for my various cameras to be delivered I decided to install reversing sensors as well ( sorry I forgot to take photos, I will post later).
This backup sensor unit, not only tells you in vocal voice the distance through a SP but also superimpose the distance from the obstacle on the comand display.
The two white graphics line that you see on the centre top picture .
If you look in at the picture below you will see it display the distance from the obstacle behind the car.

And the one below tells you to STOP because the car is about 30cm away from the car behind.
