W203 Multi Function Steering wheel problems

Hi,

I haven't posted in a while as everything has been running smoothly.

However after a few months of intermittent problems with the multi function steering wheel it has now stopped working. I have tried both sets of keys but the problem is the same.

I am not very clued up on these things so wondered if someone can help me.

Does the horn work? Perhaps the clock spring wiring?

Depending on the year model I may have a clock spring for sale to fix your car.

Hi,

The horn does work as it has just passed it's mot.

From time to time there is a crackling sound through the speakers when the stereo is on. Could this have anything to do with it?

Sorry to sound dumb but what is a clock spring?
