Hi all,

I am looking at retrofitting an audio head end unit on the W204 but am unsure about the available depth, I do not have the vehicle yet (pick it up in 10 days) but wanted to get the bits to carry this out ASAP.

This is the unit I'm looking at, and wondered if anyone knew if there is enough space available to fit it?

I've attached an image of the current audio system as installed, an image of the dimensions of the unit and an image of the fascia that I'm loking at getting from here

I guess I'm looking for a little sanity check before I go ahead and purchase the items.

Can anyone take a quick look and see if this looks correct?

Thanks in advance.

Remember your car may well have switches in that panel below the head unit (which is blank in your picture)

Parking sensors, heated seats are the most common.

Hi Richard, thanks for your reply.

I assume that as there are no physical switches on the panel itself, that they will not be operational and/or not be there?

Are you aware of the depth available behind that panel once it comes off?

Also, and I'll Google it now, but is there a guide to take that panel off anywhere? I remember doing a little guide on my old W203 to replace the stock Audio 20, but could do with something similar for this W204, I'll still do the step by step on my new unit, looking at saving time!

Thanks again.
