This is on my 2001 E55 but will work on any touch shift MB, I think it could be possible for the non touch shift but I haven't stripped one down.
Her is the link to the vid before I go into all the detail.

Shaun did you follow the PDF instructions on crossfireforum.org ? looks very similar to the SLK R171 setup shown on Benzworld. Good job ! looks excellent.

No but if it's the one I think you are talking about then it's the same guy that told me how to do it, I couldn't get that PDF unless I joined the forum.
I know he did put a PDF on there, he emailed me the main instructions on where to connect into the shifter.
Whole mod cost about £120.

I like the led mods to the instrument panel. Is that your car Shaun? If yes, what bulbs did you use?

Thats wicked.. Would love to get mine done.
So £120 in total?
Did you do all the work?

Does this only work on steering wheels with the shift change "buttons"?

Oh, thought I was missing something!!! Thanks

I bought a set from Ebay USA last year, I've just had a look through various files and can't come up with any bulb numbers.
After buying I found some cheaper ones had appeared over here but can't find them now, the set included cluster lighting as well as the LCD.
I got them to go with the white dials, in fact I've just remembered something...I'll have a look.

I got the file

I believe (hope) they are on their way!

Shude, I have the original PDF but am unsure if I would be allowed to publicly post it here as it is not my property or written by myself. It can be found on the following forums

Did you fit the paddles to a standard steering wheel or did you buy one specifically with space to add the paddles?

What's the chances we could find someone in Ireland to do this coz I would fcuking LOVE it.....
