It doesn't really, not mixed 10:1.
Or use an all purpose cleaner like Daisy, comes in lemon scent, that works well mixed around 4 or 5:1.
The shiny seats are just layers of dead skin and grease sitting on top of the seats, you want to get this off so you need to be pretty aggressive.
This was my 110k miles 6 year old E Class leather cleaned with engine cleaner and noting else......
That was hard and shiny when I collected it with 60k odd on it a couple of years before, soon came up like new.
If the leather has cracked and is streaking it is only the paint, not the leather itself.
Car seats are just spray painted the colour they are, and it is the paint that goes, not the leather itself.
I re-sprayed the seats in our Z3 the other week, they were shagged!!
£55 and about 4 hours later....
