Nice colour combo which appeals, but had a 2.8 Z3 years ago so been there with the Z3.

ZM3 would be nice, but too much unfortunately...

Only trouble is the lack of running engine .... Can't be much though ...... Can it ?

XM is interesting although even with the low miles a bit pricey? I like it and do like Citroens ... it is interesting. Bet it is comfrtable.

Ax dangerous ... too small and flimsy?

BMW E30 Convertible is not a bad idea for £2k. I think I'd go for a 944, though - great cars, well built and they do handle beautifully. The turbo model is very surprising - it doesn't feel particularly fast but look down at the speedo and you find you're doing 40 mph more than you thought. You'll need more than £2k for a 944 turbo or cabrio

Added e30 cab to the maybe list.
The 928 scared me for a second ... I actually thought it was an old car i used to own! ( same colour/year/spec)
924 not a fan as had a couple 944 and they are so much better unless i can find a le mans 924

Agree on the 944 and could stretch if needed for a cab/turbo if i wanted. I wouldnt want another lux or 16v. Not owned a s2 so ob look out for one of those too.
