This is just for fun and my own curiosity...but it could be fun!

I learnt and passed my test in a Yugo Skala 55..truly awesome machine!
and it looked a bit like this (except white.. well off-white)

One of these for me, Instructors car broke down on the day of the test (3rd time) and it was all I could borrow at short notice. Felt sure I was going to fail for being a Smart Ass and turning up in a Jag but that must have relaxed me as I sailed through:bannana:

It has been a few years now!!!

Generally examiners prefer cars with duel controls- for obvious reasons. But if you passed in a Jag, fair play to you!! :thumb:

I passed in a Peugeot 206- not particularly interesting!!

Something like this but white - very boring but it was just the start!

Triumph Herald 12/50.
An excellent car in which to learn to drive. A 25 ft turning circle (I think).
Those were Happy Motoring Days!

Now that's just showing off.. :) Although my mate did pass his test, aged 17, in his mums 3.0 Capri S.

I had to settle for one of these, courtesy of the driving instructor:

1.2 Opel Kadett :( but at least I passed first time, after a whopping 3 lessons.. they used to give anyone a licence in those days!

Cheers,

Vauxhall Nova 1.2 saloon in metallic bottle green. With synthetic fur seat covers. And the stink of wet dogs and cheap fags.

A 1.2 Corsa.

Mine was the second generation Corsa, possibly the worst car I've ever driven! The pedals were too close together, for start!

After my driving ban, I retook my test in a third generation Corsa (the first time I drove it was on the day of the test). A much better car, but I couldn't wait to get back into my Mercedes!

Toyota Starlet.

That wasn't the actual car :p

Yep mine was a Gen 2 (Y reg onwards-now) IIRC. Its not the worse car I've driven, thats reserved for the Vauxhall Cavalier :o

Where did you find that?lol

Vauxhall Viva SL90. Dual Controls (He Man?) A light blue colour. It was in York City 1967. Ebor Cup Day. Passed first time. I remember peeling myself off the seat with a shirt caked in sweat when it was over. Examiner drove me home - said he always did that pass or fail.
Then went out "solo" in my Dad's Vanden Plas Austin Princess 1300. Boy it felt good.
First car ever bought. VW Beetle, VZ 4409 - ah Happy Daze!!
