What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

Front bumper off to fit my newly built billy bad ass  headlamp units. Morimoto projector units for dip beam and some serious led's for main. Lenses restored to as new condition and sprayed with E-tech anti-uv 😄

Well not today, but being in lockdown I started on Monday and have started the following: I had my 15" RIALs refurbed and powder coated in "chromium", got the parts to drop the suspension 2 inches and completely replace the front end suspension and steering and am currently addressing the bits of rust hither and tither, before doing the suspension and front end.

i guess the spokes aren't convex from the rim

I recall laying a newly refurb wheel face down....instant scuffs...

Wheel wasn't refurbed, just cleaned and polished by me.
It's laying face down on a blanket. ;)

Doesn't matter now, I've loaded the wheels into the back of the van as I'm getting them all refurbed.

Took one to be detailed and then took my wife for an alfresco lunch. We’d planned to have a lunch date whilst the children were at school. School sending children home and lockdown closing restaurants out an end to that! A duck wrap and a latte wasn’t a bad alternative though.

Put the SLK back in the garage after a small roof down run out, connected the battery conditioner, don't know when I'll next have her out. Short drive in the s204 tomorrow morning, will be the first time I've driven her since the SAM/dashboard re-programming and update Thursday (wife drove her home) so have to check everything is back to working (which wife reported it was, but...)

Checked other W212 car for it's MOT.

This is quite an eye opener.

Car A, 2010, W212 20k miles.
Off side rear spring.

Car B, 2010 , W212, 34k miles.
Off side rear spring.

Both snapped in same location!
Will stick some more info. in my other thread.

Treated myself to some Bosch wipers front & rear. Fitted in seconds and oh what a difference. Can’t wait for it to rain. 😁

Dropped off a new Carbon Fiber spoiler & mirrors at the bodyshop to be fitted. Sent my front grill to Wicked Coatings to have them work their magic on it.

Serviced one of the W212 E250, the one with the broken spring, oh yes that is both W212. ;)
The 34k one, about 1200 miles since last MOT and service a year ago.

B Service.

Took one for a drive to my favourite restaurant to grab an alfresco takeaway, and then shuffled some of the others around the driveway as I ran another leg of the leaf sweeping marathon.

I really ought to give the drive a quick jet washing down using my new cordless jet wash (maiden voyage) but I’ll save that for another day.
