What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

Just had rear wheel arches on my 2007 R230 rust proofed. Got home and found third brake light has stopped working 😳😫

Washed Missy (my CLK) as she was filthy after a rather wet drive down to ACE Engineering and back yesterday. Having known Gareth for many years I went with my trusty list of jobs for him all of which he sorted out for me. Front headlights were getting rather misty, so he gave them a good clean up and they're looking pretty good now. Front right fog lamp had decided to stop working, on checking, the wiring I think Stevie Wonder had been in there! Anyways he managed to sort it and all good. The AC had some issues after I'd had it regassed using a well known 'group on' voucher. Tbh I don't think they did anything to the AC as it never worked properly after that. All regassed and the temp was very cold. I'd also had an issue with the wipers, well I thought they were over sensitive , as they were going too fast sometimes and it annoyed me (Im very fussy 🙃) so he had a look at them. They have been adjusted but I'm not sure they are 'wiping' as well as I'd like.

So all in all, apart from the rain and horrendous journey back (the joys of the M25, rain and accident) it was a good day, thanks Gareth

Picked one up from MSL Performance, having had a rear suspension airbag replaced and MOT done.

As usual, fantastic, fast and friendly service from @ACID and his team - they deserve the success they enjoy 👍🏻

I didn’t know they were a “full” garage service .

I took one to be detailed and took one for a run out to Caffeine & Machine. There was a lovely Ferrari 275 sat outside too.

Went to visit a mate to do a distributor strip, clean and rebuild, got struck behind a lorry on the way back and by the time I realised he was kicking mud and crap up over my car it was to late! Need a dry day now for a good clean and wax.

Washed, driven and SORNd the E55.
Taxed the W212 E250.

Scanned the other W212 E250 as it is going into Limp Mode now and again.
"P019185 The rail pressure sensor has a malfunction. There is a signal above the permissible limit value"
Might be a dodgy connection on the sensor.

Started getting the W212 E250 ready for its MOT in 2 weeks.

Rear left wheel off, tyre checked, cleaned, polished & waxed wheel.
Cleaned & waxed brake pipe, cleaned and treated furrule and flexi hose.
Flushed the brake fluid through on all corners.

Got a bit cold so left car on axle stand and came inside, more tomorrow.

Took the car for a drive out to next town to meet some mates for a curry, possibly last drive this side of lockdown

Plugged it in - now charged and ready to go ... :p

Removed all the wheels from the other W212 E250 and stuck it on stands and replaced the brake fluid.

Wheels were quite poor with usual corrosion under the Diamond Cut.
Dropped them off at Wheel Refurbisher, decided to just have them Powder Coated rather then Diamond Cut.

Took it for a 100 mile round trip to play guitar with some friends before lockdown, and fuelled it up as well.

Sneaked wheel into kitchen to finish it off, don't tell the wife.

i guess the spokes aren't convex from the rim

I recall laying a newly refurb wheel face down....instant scuffs...
