Who uses ‘V-Power Diesel’....

No, we do not. But then we don't go bragging about it on public Internet forums...
Lol I dont have a tin hat do you really think the MOT police scour the internet looking for DPF posts? Have I actually done what I say I have or am I just trolling you?
There pick the bones out of that one

Get rid of the DPF and there is too much tailpipe particulate. And, we would need one heck of a lot of peanut oil to replace diesel.

I've an 18 year old high mileage diesel that blows a 0.21 fast pass , being Euro 3 it ain't got no dpf .

It's about getting these engines running optimally and JASO FB 2 Stroke was a big player in this as it halved my smoke opacity result before the thermostat change .
Now also with 40ml of 2-EHN .

In December we will see pops 2T mot result as he just started using it this tank .

I use JASO 2 stroke in my Range Rover Sport after reading a very long report on it. 300ml every full tank of diesel. The car does very low miles/year (13000 in five years) & mostly town driving. Typical RR owner, only hill it climbs is a speed bump. Decided to try it. Have been using it for about two years now. Car runs fine & passes MOT no problem. Don't know if it helps or not but supposed to lube injectors.
Before I get grief, yes, it may be snake oil, but its my snake oil. As I said I read a very long report which was done in a lab & it seemed to be worth a try. Not just some laymans opinion who dismisses everything out of hand.:)

Look, I get it. You are a strong proponent of adding material to diesel which in your experience has improved smoke opacity in the MoT test.

The DPF (and GPF) has a role to play in reducing the number of particles emitted at the tailpipe.

Reducing engine out particulate results in increased engine out NOx. In a Euro 3 diesel, the NOx is emitted from the tailpipe untreated.

And yours shows you for what you are another do gooder with a very tight anus and naff all purpose other than to judge others lives and look down on them because it doesnt conform with your ideas of right and wrong.
And am supposed to be the keyboard warrior frankly I couldnt give a stuff what you think my car, my life, my money and frankly my fine if i get caught but at least I wont go to my grave wondering what if because I was too chicken to push back, lifes too short grow a pair

I am so from how you attempt to describe me as to make your comments laughable and you only have your "opinion" based on nothing but prejudice so that debunks your first rather pathetic attempt at a response.

We do however have clear evidence of your personality type. Almost certainly a low achiever who only feels empowered when they can lash out at others and society in general especially under the shield of the Web without any risk of any consequence

You can indeed spend your life and your money as you wish but not when your thoughtless, ignorant and arrogant presumptions (that are clearly based on no intellectual understanding of the matters of which you are complaining) have a deleterious impact on others.

The law applies to you regardless of your opinion. FACT!

I have typed this slowly so you have time to find a grown up to help understand it but I feel you are another prime candidate for the ever so useful ignore option.

Goodbye and good riddance 👍

So........ I take it that you are not a fan of Shell V-Power Diesel, then?

Its not snake oil the 2 stroke lubes the pump and upper cylinder, modern Diesel is low sulphur and it can cause issues with older diesels( not yours) because it lacks lubricity but if it makes you happy it wont cause any issues at that ratio.

yes went a bit off didnt it, actually to get back on track I do use it or BP but not texaco or supermarket fuels, our DPF issues with both Diesels we have started after filling up with cheaper fuels(Texaco) both cars do a lot of miles each week mines at least 500 most weeks and my Wifes is about 300ish hers flat broke down and refused to even attempt a clean or to rev past 1500rpm mine went into limp mode after trying to do a clean for an hour or so, I actually got quite worried at the temps coming from under the car to be honest, but yes Shells good stuff.

Just another loudmouth with opinions untainted by the ability to think or reason and clearly goes through life with little to no thought about their impact on others.

From what I can see they have added nothing of value to the Forum and just get their kicks from trying to disrupt.

All in all, not worth engaging with 👍

Which is why lubricity additives are included at the refinery. Simply no need for 2-stroke oil in diesel and not recommended for modern diesels.

Now Now girls calm down with all the shouting at one another. I use shell v diesel car runs like a dream you can here a pin drop whatever speed you are driving, is it a rip off o_O more than likely about £7 a gallon, does it make me happy the way it runs Yep, do i want to be Ripped off NO, but if i don't get any dpf issues it lets me sleep well at night. I was recommended on here about the shell card and when you show them that they are very polite to you, maybe be bulls**t but hey i like someone to be nice.

Not an expert on petroleum products, but knowing how the automotive industry works I seriously doubt that any additives can improve the performance of top oils or top fuels.

Now, buying a cheap basic product and then trying to improve it by using additives is certainly going to be cheaper than buying the top products. But it might not achieve the same effect.

I use it because I read the report & considered it worthwhile. I did not advocate anyone else using it. You may or may not be an expert in diesel fuel so unless you are you cannot say its not recommended, just like me saying it was recommended in that report. Each to their own.

Well, after more than 25-years of developing, testing and evaluating fuels and lubricants for one of the major oil companies…
