I will be honest, I felt a bit funny without my car there so I didn't really socialize much. I did have a good look at that one : 1 that thing was amazing. I thought they would have posted the best time but they were playing with the tune a lot as they had only just switched to the E85.

Must be pissing you off a bit but it would of been good to catch-up and you could of come out for a run. Maybe next time

Hey jonh sometimes things don't go according to plan, but never mind there's always tomorrow I hope next season we are all ready for some fun!

Agreed, I have plenty of mods to do over the winter to get ready for next year. Mainly on the interior however I have a few tweaks to do under the bonnet also.

I am waiting on a new ECU to see if that is the problem. Also something has happened to my wheels and they have somehow gone missing with DHL. I was hoping to get a few days use before I go back to the Bahamas as I will not be back until March-April next year but it seems less likely as the days keep going by. Very depressing to think I will have to wait another 6 months to drive the car.

I am sure we have all dealt with bigger problems than issues with our toys. So I will just hope for a little better luck down the line.

Fingers crossed jonh!

Still waiting for the ECU. I just got this to keep the SL warm over the winter.

Eurocharged twin turbo kit is on the way 900+ BHP, looking forward to letting both cars loose next year.

That should go well. Congratulations

Ace I took inspiration from your colour choice.

Blues the new .......

If anybody wants to look at my thread for the R8 it is on R8talk my sig is R8 TT

So a couple of things to update.

The new wheels and ECU should be done very soon and I have a track day booked at Silverstone on the 22nd November. It will be interesting to see how the wide front rubber works with handling and braking.

I was due to have the R8 GT at Silverstone also but Audi in Watford decided to crash it when it went in for a service. 2 new wheels front and rear bumpers and not sure of anything else under the skin at this point. The bodywork is just superficial it seems as he span hit a curb causing the wheel damage and went into some bushes causing the bumper damage.

I am getting an independent to check it over to make sure nothing else has been damaged from the wheel impact.

Got news from Eurocharged, my car has completed 250miles with the new ECU and all seems good. Now just waiting on a couple of paint touches and the wheels. Time to get the audio and interior work organized over the winter.

Flew in today and picked up the car from Eurocharged. The engine bay looks fantastic and the car seems to be running great.

The front tyres for the new wheels had a little too much sidewall which I had thought might happen so the new wheels are currently not fitted until the tyre fitment is sorted.

I am having a lot of trouble keeping the rubber attached to the road, the boost comes in quite hard and the wheels light up very easily. This may have been a little down to the cold weather but I think a bit more work on the tune is going to be needed to tone down the boost and torque levels or at least smooth it out a little.

I am at Silverstone tomorrow so I will get to see what it is like when driven in anger however without the new wheels and rubber I fear it will be the same understeer issues as before. I will get some photos tomorrow. Just hoping for a dry day, it is going to be cold.

Cold, you can say that again. There's a frost warning also, I'll probably be sat in the canteen until the afternoon lol. I only have slicks available.

Great news.

The SL strikes again.

Took a couple of hours getting all my gear organized, GoPro,s, phone, vbox all charged. Race shoes, battery charger, tyre pressure gauge and pump, carbon helmet and 5 layers of clothes all packed.

Woke up at 6.15am (very excited) fire up the beast at 6.45am and headed out up the empty M40, I had quite a few people slowing down and looking at the car. One guy wanted me to make some noise so I put my foot down for a quick pull to around 120mph and then I started getting a lot of wind noise and sounded like my tyre was rubbing badly.

Pulled over in the emergency lane and had a look around. I found the front under tray had come loose as well as the off side wheel well liner was pushing against the tyre. I had no tools with me so after contemplating for a while what to do decided I couldn't fix it and I would not be able to run the car without the tray at Silverstone as it left pipes and wires as well as other possible aero issues exposed. So I turned around near Oxford and limped home at 50mph.

Very annoyed and missed a clear weather day
