Would this be a poor buy? C63 content

It's a rear that I need -should have said that. Bit surprised at how narrow a tyre MB specified for ~450 bhp.
That’s one of the reasons why you really need a LSD for a w204 C63.

I might have a rear alloy in the loft. I am away with work atm, home on the 20th. I will have a look for you when I get back & let you know.

I have three wheels that (now) look great

Little bit concerned about that wheel on eBay, which says 30/255 in the listing but the image doesn't agree:

Yes, I agree. They might have the wrong photo, but....

Very shiny, but can you imagine keeping that clean!
Same as my taxi Jon. Looks great when clean, next day, covered in dust.

The only thing stopping me actively looking to buy is the black interior.
After the light grey in my E63, I want that or cream in my next car.
I've had enough of black.

Total failure on my part to find a fourth alloy that’s not already cracked. I never thought it would be this hard.

Or, I could maybe look at W205 C63 wheels, which do seem to be available uncracked.

The S204 wheels are:
  • Front, 8 x 19 " ET45, 235/35/19
  • Rear 9 x 19 " ET54, 255/30/19

The S205 wheels are:
  • Front, 8,5 x 19 " ET38, 255/35/19
  • Rear 9,5 x 19 " ET56, 275/35/19

Can't say I'm a huge fan of this route, but needs must.

They fit and look very nice too, I had them on my S204 for a while. Only got rid as the fronts stick out 13.35mm more than stock and it did dull the steering a bit. I managed to find some genuine 507 forged wheels to replace them with but they are uber rare not attached to a 507 car.

Just watch out you don't buy the coupe version of the wheels as they are wider and even lower front offset.

The oem 19 look epic on the 204 the 205 alloys not so much

Have you tried german ebay etc?

I'm hoping that GillyC63 is going to find a rear in their loft and this will all be a problem of the past, at which I'll breath a huge sigh of relief - but I can't help fretting about it/trying to find something that will mean I can actually drive the car next month.

I have got the alloy out of the loft, there appears to be no cracks in it. I can't tell if it's had a refurb before but if you email me, I will add the photos I have taken of it. I would post them on here but it keeps saying the pics are too big from my phone. If it's of any use to you all you need to pay is postage or get it picked up, I don't want any money for it.

Thanks! I have PM’d you.

In C63 related news- I contacted Lockton (who insured my E63 for ~£600) for a quote on the C63 and they came back with £2,000, no discount possible.

Does the MB UK membership insurance give a decent price for these cars? I’m a member but have never tried it/don’t know how to try it.
