I made a right mes of it. I was 30 minutes late arriving at the car park at Sainsbury's at 13:30. No group of MB's, drove round again but nothing. Got out and walked on to the street, yep, there's La Piazza, wait its closed? Totally baffled, not a clue whats going on, drove round again, walked round again, nothing. Went to get some fish n chips then came back home.

Checked this thread again and see that its La Piazza at Blackpool, not the one in Bispham across the road from the Sainsbury's car park :wallbash:

Sorry I missed you all.................

You would have still missed us Pete as we were at the River Wyre pub in Poulton. It is mentioned in thread !

Doh, just re-read the thread, missed that completely.

Thanks once again to Ian for organising this event. Another excellent GTG and some new (to me anyway) faces to put to the forum names. Simon has posted a photo of the cars, but no meet would be complete without some automotive porn in the form of Sean's CLS engine bay:

The main event was conducted next to the open fire in a great restaurant and much contented chomping followed...

lovely to see you all, and to hear some odd accents :D

it really is another country up North :D

food was excellent, and great value.

sorry I rushed off ..

got home in 3 hours 45 mins .. 238 miles. No traffic jams and traffic flowed well.

I had a Focus, Corsa, Prius and a 129 SL500 for company on the way .. they all eventually gave up :D

just in case anyone thought I drove up today, I didn't .. I drove up yesterday to Chorley, and that took 4.5 hours and was less distance.

Thanks to you all for a great GTG last Sunday in Poulton.
Thanks to Ian for organising, and thanks to Simon for suggesting an excellent venue.
That's one of the best "Christmas dinners" that Mrs J and I have enjoyed in quite some time.
Great location too - That real fire was fantastic.

Mrs J and I will be happy to organise the next Yorkshire/Lancashire/Nottinghamshire/etc curry night.
See other thread ... We're looking for suggestions.

Happy Christmas to all
Johnsco + Mrs J.
