Hi Guys,

Not much I can say about this one yet. But come tomorrow I would of completed the biggest detail of a Mercedes Benz of my career. All im going to say is it was a E36 AMG that had done 90,000 miles. Just to give you an insight of what it looked like to start with,

then if by magic (and 320 painstaking hours of solid labour) a little teaser of a camera phone shot of it completed this evening, ready to go home.

Oh my goodness!!

See if he wants to sell that steering wheel will you - please...

I saw this car yesterday and it really is like brand new again.

Thats a lot of hours... amazing.

By the looks,usual 1st class job,excellent!:thumb:

I look forward to the write up and more pics please, what a job looks fantastic just like new.

That's a restoration not a detail. Looking forward to the full report.

Exactly my thoughts.

I don't think a bit of touch up paint would have sufficed on that rust! :D

Either way, looks to be an amazing job, can't wait for the write up! I'd hate to think how much the restoration/detail cost the owner.

Cheers guys, if you want to see all the photos they are live on my company Facebook page 'Gemclean Detailing' otherwise the write up will be done over Christmas.

Kind Regards
Michael

Amazing...I'm particularly interested in how to maintain those AMG 3 piece wheels as I've found that they are very high maintenence indeed.

Thanks Mike, can't stop smiling and can't stop looking at it. It really has been a pleasure doing business with you!

Wonderful, pretty sure this the ex Brooklands car that was on show a few years back and of late for sale at Avantgarde motors?

if so, a member on here should be mightily pleased with the outcome. Top effort!

On a different note, there's no telling what those claddings hold beneath. 124's that get driven as a daily should have the skirts and cladding's removed and cleaned i'd say twice yearly. Before winter and after, otherwise all that muck will sit there over summer probably still wet/damp.

That looks fantastic.

Only just spotted this thread.

The car looked very good at Avantgarde before our member bought it. Those rust pictures are a revelation. I wonder what lurks behind my trim?

That is a stunning piece of work indeed - I hope I will spot it around Brum some time.

Lovely car!

Looking forward to reading your write up looks realy good from the pic you've put on
