In 2007, Ferdinand Alonso, current F1 champion is to join Mercedes McLaren.

Ron Dennis hasn't decided who will make way for him, but as Kimi Raikonnen has been tipped to join Ferrari when Michael Schumacher's contract expires in 2007, it's likely to be him. Time will tell.

they have convienenlty lined up gary parfett as a test driver too.

so both could go if they dont play by the rules of the Ronster!

my predictions to be eaten at a later date is: Kimi to Ferrari to replace schumi if he wins 06 champ and retires....Kimi to ferrari to partner Schumi if he wins or loses and stays in 2007. so there we have the possibilty of 1 seat available at ferrari in 2007. Massa will be long gone.

JPM to red bull with DC for 2007!

Fisi to red bull with DC if renault kick him out and JPM agrees to Rons demands.

JPM and Fisi to red bull if DC shaves his beard off and turns daft.

Alonso in Macca
Webber alongside

Parfett in williams if he proves himself in testing
Hamilton also in williams but paid for by macca so he remains their option like heidfield was in sauber.

I think Kimi will have the number 1 on his car tho, and i think McLaren will destroy the rest in 2006..but they will let both drivers go. they need young
blood. But Kimi is ferrari bound and if he has number 1, schumi will be away!

If Alonso has number 1, Ron will try to make him go for schumis records, he is young enough to get them if they can provide a car. Spanish will do just as well in latin america as JPM does. and Vodaphone Mercedes, Mobil, johnny walker dont need finnish driver market anymore. Global brands.

on the other hand, if things dont change, they will stay as they are!

feel free to argue

I think with Kimi that McClaren have a potential world champion, would they let him go that easy? JPM in my opinion is a cowboy, I did say IMP :) Jenson? well as yet an un proved driver but has potential. It is going to be interesting to say the least. JC? well so much un proved talent. The next two years will have my undivided attention.

i agree Kimi is world champ stuff, but he isnt dynamic is he? JPM is but cowboy is a good way of putting it!

I think Button is very good, indeed he is up with kimi and alonso.

still it will be worth watching..at least if nothing else we will hear about Mansell stuffing the old timers in the gp masters again...now that is how to rub salt in wounds proper

I agree with Scumbag in so far as Kimi to Ferrari, I have been dissilusioned with Montoya's attitude and just wonder what Ron thinks about it.

We are talking 2007, so what about my hero Valentino Rossi going from Gp into Ferrari? This coming season will be interesting with Rossi having regular monthly drives in the latest Formula 1 Ferrari.

Is it just me that is also frustrated at Jensen's performance? I feel the media is talking a good fight about him, but he certainly failed to impress in much the same way as Mark Webber, another driver that I thought was going places??

Everyone and their dog stated just how good Michael Schumacher was and even in an 'average' car he would still be a winner. Well that 'fact' was certainly shot in the foot last season. Apart from the US of course where he did actually win

What about the new qualifying, is that a good thing?

John

Hmmm, watch also Jarno Trulli and Giancarlo Fisichella as both of these are excellent drivers who did not have luck last year... I've always liked Alex Wurz, but he's only testing for the moment but should help develop the Williams package.

As for Michael, I can't help wondering (against the odds) if he'll continue until he's 40. I'd love to see him in the same team as Kimi, I feel he would be the better. Kimi hasn't shown proper consideration for the car's mortality and that cost him last year. This is where Fernando and Michael have an advantage....

MS in an average Ferrari DID manage to finish a distance 3rd in the championship.
I think Rubens can beat Jenson.
Anthony Davidson should have a drive.
Roll on 12th March....

Schumacher certainly did manage a very distant third spot.

I would love to see Rubens do well, but could never understand his reason for signing up as a number two driver that was NOT allowed to fulfill perhaps his potential.

My wish would be to see Rossi acheive the double and become World Champion in a number 46 Ferrari??

I wonder if Ferrari would allow him to keep the number 46?

What's his autograph like?

Don't say you didn't ask him for it!!

John i have been following Rossi since his 125 days, and as sure as Ferrari's are red he will be driving for them in 2007 and will become world champion mabey not his first year, although i would not put it past him. As you can tell he is also my hero.

John

possibly the $20m a year and the chance to be in the best team at the time?

they did give him all his wins so i paid off i think. and he wasnt to know that MS would stay that long!

still...i would have been a lot cheaper and just as happy to follow MS round...

Top racing drivers tend to go to teams that they believe have a winning car. Rueben's chose Ferrari because they were the winning team, but he sold out.... He sold his soul and quite possibly for the amount you suggested, but he also gave up the chance of ever winning the ultimate prize ALL top Formula 1 drivers desperately want. Money is nice and Rueben's would still possibly be a multi millionaire if he had not moved to Ferrari?? The wins he got were only because they were authorised by Ferrari. I will never forget the fiasco in the US when Ferrari quite rightly tried to get both cars across the line at the same time and it went wrong... :D :D Absolutely brilliant, we even had drivers apologising. Barrichello was an aspiring potential World Champion and I was disappointed that he sold his soul. Still I suppose it is easy to criticise and Iam only moaning because I thought he could have been a 'great' driver and not just a second fiddle number two, that would NEVER be allowed to beat his team leader.

Just remember when Irvine could have become World Champion..... To stop that from happening a tyre man actually 'forgot' to appear with the tyre he was supposed to fit to Irvine's car.

John the moaner.

fair point......still think JB will do him in tho....anyhow...makes for an interesting first race.

Williams to win it i think....

I would like to see Jensen do well and as you say the first race will be interesting.

I'll have to start surfing to see the new test times??

John

the winter grand prix!

most of the teams are going to bring out their new cars in the next 3 weeks...

but you can never tell how good they are till Whenever the first race is...gives you a good idea none the less.
