AMG Estates - help me find one

I actually didn't ask ...

I never believe anything until I check it out myself first, and they were not that far from me .. about 35 miles.
I fully agree, but I was interested to hearif the seller had offered an honest assessment :)

At the price they were asking (and the retailer concerned) i would have expected it to have been spotless

Reading through all these posts has convinced me that a decent estate is going to be costly.

When folksnsell their car they try to get as much as possible and if you find a 'cheap' bargain, then will it work out being as cheap as you think?

I am a huge fan of the E55AMG but if you are looking for performance, then it has to be the 211 :(

Slightly more expensive than the model it replaces, but if you get a 210, how long will it be, before you are looking at the 211?

Go for it... You know it doesn't make sense :D

that's pretty much where I have got to ...

but the estate is my run around, run about, knock about car .. a 211 E55 will be too precious

The car came back on the market on Friday. Previous buyer could not raise finance

I wonder if the list of faults is what persuaded the buyer that he 'couldn't raise finance'!

I'm right with glojo on this. The 211 is a major step forward. The interior is a much nicer place as well, in my opinion. And as for spoiling it - well all I can say is that mine has a dog's life - ferrying family/kids, bikes, trips to the tip, business deliveries - it is always loaded down with stuff. Yet it takes it all in its stride. Plus my interior is Sierra Grey (very light grey) which looks lovely, light and airy, and should be a bugger to keep clean. But it isn't. Put mats/covers down and you should be fine. Best purchase I ever made. Seriously.

We have the light grey interior and a long haired shepherd that loves travelling in style.

The interior of our car is quite literally pristine :)

The AMG would be the icing on the cake and the grin factor would only fade if you were concerned about fuel consumption.

not concerned about fuel consumption ..

concerned about a drive anywhere, hit anything, park anywhere car to a 'proper' car I have to worry about

Anyone that neglects there AMG should be burnt at the stake

hence why I can't justify a 211 AMG estate .. yet!

Has the same amount of miles a one that recently went through at BCA about a month ago but that had T55 AMG as the reg number iirc.
Straight face time :)

I have a T55AMG whch has the registration numeber

T55 AMG

Spooky :)

It does look fantastic. Is it really a 370bhp engine in a 2000 E55? I thought it would have been the same 347bhp engine as my 2001 CLK55.

I think that the engine in the E class is slightly more powerful because of the air intake or something.

Not sure, I just want an AMG V8 :D
