AMG Estates - help me find one

Well he must have bought it, and is now enjoying the V8, hence cannot post:D

Just noticed, that you will have viewed it by now and probably own it.

That's the one Sean went to see.

I did see the car ...

The vendor is nice chap, and he said he had lots of people banging on this door.

I didn't buy it.

The seams in the engine bay had surface rust, and looked like they have previously been repaired. This really put me off.

The third rear headrest was missing. And the rear facing bench seat is not OEM.

Apart from that, quite a good car.

oh, the seller said the car was immaculate .. either he doesn't look in his engine bay or he doesn't know what rust looks like.

the other thing is that the seat belt restrainer for one of the rear facing seats on the side was broken (not a big deal)

That's a shame, better luck next time. I found a lovely CL55 only problem it's in Northern Ireland.

wait for a Kompressor version .. you know you want to!

Thanks. It has to be a facelift, late 2002. I am looking for 2003 onwards Black.

There was a facelift 210 E55 Estate with sunroof .. and looked in great condition. Silver and black.

Had ventilated seats, adaptive damping etc etc

Was going to look at it this morning.

Seller withdrew car from sale .. he decided to keep it since it needed new brake pads, spark plugs, air filters and brake fluid change. He's going to enjoy it for a few more months, and who can blame him.

Shame. Was on at £8950 with A service done.

This one came back on the market. Seller called me before he put the car on sale. I viewed it this morning.

A very nice car. Excellent interior. It has rare options including Linguatronic, Ventilated Seats and Adaptive Damping.

Just under 50k miles.

It even has an MB Tier 1 warranty until end July 09.

New rear tyres needed soon.

So far, so good.

RUST: terrible on n/s rear. Worse I have seen.

Also on tailgate in the handle area .. just starting, probably after poor repair.

Engine compartment seams all been redone. Look OK at the moment.

I have pretty much decided not to go for a 210 AMG. Everyone single one I have seen has had bad rust problems.

Not sure whether this car would be eligible for a goodwill repair, but don't really want to take on the problem.

Shame. Otherwise the best so far.

I really don't get ads. that say nothing whatsoever about the condition of the car. If it was in good condition and everything worked properly, you would surely put that? From the wording this car could even be a non-runner!

no sunroof. shame. would have been very interesting ..
