Anyone seen any good number plates on cars lately?

Oh, and my C43 is (obfuscating) R431 XXX and I saw a black c43 with the plate immediately before, R430 XXX!

On that note, my long-departed A170 was registered T46 FBW, and yesterday I saw another A Class in the same colour as mine, registered T58 FBW.

MED 1A was bought by Tim Watts, the owner of the Pertemps employment agency, at the first DVLA auction in 1989. However, he may since have sold it, as he's based in Tamworth-in-Arden rather than Teddington. Seen here with another of his plates, his company also owns (or has owned) 1 JOB, 100 PR and 100 JAG.

No idea who owns 1 CND, but it was sold at a DVLA auction in 2004.

MED 1A has been in Teddington for some time ( years ) its a regular sight round here. Being that 1 CND is on the same driveway , i would hazard a guess that they are owned by the same people ? ;)

HI THU - Mercedes SL500
B1 MJY - BMW 7 series
A1 KHU - Peugeot 407
Y2 HEN - Mercedes S350
541 MW - Discovery - would suit me nicely
All on M25 recently

3 BEN on something or other today, maybe a Navara pickup

Waiting at the ferry queue for Le Havre, en route to Le Mans a couple of weeks ago, where I saw a Jag XK150, reg'd WOG 1. I spoke to the owner, who said he had been approached by the authorities to surrender entitlement!

Got home yesterday, where I saw a Range Rover, reg JO55 HUA.

Used to be a Golf Clipper round here with A5 TVD spaced to read a stud. Driven by a bloke who obviously didn't love himself too much. Some plates make you look and just think w..ker.

There is also a Silver Vauxhall estate sports thing with AR04 RER spaced to read a roarer. Or it was until I guess the old bill decided he looked a plum so pulled him for it and its now back on its correct spacing.

The Range Rover is owned by a prominent property development. He owns plates for all his sons (who are too young to drive!).

wow a lot of pages on this thread!

Yesterday on the M6 over thelwall viaducy (queueing as usual) I saw a new shape E350 saloon with the plate S71 NGY - looked like stingy - which I thought was quite cool

dow the road from where i used to live was an old ('83 probably) BMW 735i which had the reg plate A735 BMW - which was probably worth more than the old heap of a car it was on!

I saw a pristine, new-looking, grey-metallic Range Rover on the border between Hall Green, Birmingham and Solihull today with the registration...

8 R

(that must have been expensive).

JOL15T on a truck that carts around kit for demonstrations, of err, JOUSTing.

ROM41N I think on a new shape silver grey Bentley Azure parked on Stanmore Hill this morning..

17 DJ, parked behind it, on a range rover (dark colour) (older style)

2 OAR i think on a silver A5 cabrio .. parked further down..

White Audi posermobile (the one with the viewable engine) 000 014 - on M61 this morning

Not quite sure how that was made up! (and quite what it demonstrated?)
