I can see pictures of many other cars on this thread that aren't Mercedes, if its that much of an issue then why was no warning given to any other members? A bit rude if you ask me, but if you want me to leave i'll be more than happy.
I agree Wasim. This used to be a friendly forum, but has become such a introverted cosy club lately that you wonder why it's still available on such a public medium as the worldwide web.
I threw in the towel on it a few months back when they were all recommending that they should damage other people's cars if they parked too close and here we go again, just two people showing off their own prides and joys and they come down on us like a ton of bricks!
You enjoy your M3 and its snazzy plate and I'll keep my beauties well away from the miserable buggers!

...although it's a shame you've rendered the SL unroadworthy in the process.
What's wrong with the red SL then?
Absolutely nothing, of course.
He's trying to be clever by suggesting that because the black and silver plates don't comply with the MOT test, the car is somehow "unroadworthy"! Although, of course, he hasn't mentioned that about any of the other plates in the 500+ posts on here!
He has also completely failed to notice that the car is parked on a private drive and that number plates don't affect the driving or stopping abilities of a car in any way.
I'm afraid he threw a hissy fit when I suggested in an earlier thread that vandalising people's cars if they park too close to you was perhaps over-reacting a little and then he decided to be unpleasant for the sake of it again in this thread.
Of course, his own life complies with the letter of the law in every respect, tyres are always at precisely the correct pressures, speed limits adhered to at all times, yet happy deliberately to damage a car if he didn't like the way the driver had parked. If only everyone in the world was like him, how perfect it would be!
Love the car. I had one myself many many moons ago.
I see you have added the turbo bodykit. I presume though the car being a 72 is the round rear light model?
Slightly OT
Charles, you will then need the mirrored 'turbo' decal that the turboed BMWs of that era had on the front spoiler then.
