I'll second that. I got mine done in Milton Keynes and on the way home on the A5 dual carriageway at Brickhill I was doing 130 mph before I knew it and that was up hill!!![]()

merc gone back in again today, it keeps wetting it self with diesel!
also notice dent on wing mirror and long scuff on bumper since it came from from 4weeks in merc cov for injectors
I don't know about 130mph,but ours definitely sounds sweeter - less diesel-y, if you know what I mean - since the injectors have been changed.
I thought mine had stalled at a junction the other day. The new injectors do seem to make it a little more refined.Had mine done, and likewise it feels a little more refined. Also the throttle mapping seems different - like a smaller movement of the foot demands a higher power setting.
Economy exactly the same though, which is good.![]()
Just wondered whether you could confirm that when the injectors first failed they were replaced with the new version. We don't really want reports of the new version failing!Has anyone worked out the best way to complain to Mercedes about this sorry state?
Like most on this post, I have been caught out with the fuel injectors failing on my C220CDi. The second time in less than five months I have had to be recovered by Mercedes Mobilio and the car sent packing to the dealer.
Thus far, in 19 weeks of ownership, the car has spend 4.5 weeks in the dealers workshop!! All for known problems.
What would be my best course of action??
Any suggestions, or stories of successful claims against Mercedes UK, would be greatly appreciated

As for your particular situation you should read this thread and in particular the posts about rejecting. Some peole have been successful but it will depend on individual circumstances.
Sorry, I should have mentioned that the first failure was due to a software fault with the engine management system - there was a recall in December - where the EMS would mis-read the fuel tank level and shut down the fuel pump whilst the tank was still 25% full.
The second failure was a single injector failing - MB Coventry replaced the lot, but took 4 weeks to get the replacements in from MB.
If you have seen my own thread "blue efficiency(sic) woes" you will know I'm no longer a fan of MB - Well just to top it all off, the loan car I had been given - 59 Plate E220CDI Estate, went into limp mode today around Nottingham and sounded as if it was running on 3 cylinders. Took it into MB Nottingham who suggested it was injector trouble - the guy at MB Stafford, when I rang to tell them I was in trouble, had told me it already had the injectors replaced so clearly this is an on-going problem - be warned!

A bit like you mate...... I took the plunge and have ordered an Audi A6 Avant with loads of toys on.I ordered an E250cdi coupe sport in January.
originally told end of June delivery, now been told mid-july at earliest and they wont know for definite until the car is actually in production!
tempted to start considering other manufacturers...
For all us unfortunate enough to have a car affected by the fuel injector issue, you might be interested in the following article in yesterday's Sunday Times motoring section: -
Mercedes hit by power flaw - Times Online
I'm sure if there is sufficient comments posted, there will be a follow up article.
I was especially interested in the statement that "Mercedes has written to affected owners offering compensation. . "
Has anyone on this forum received such a letter?
