Brand New 4 Wheel Drive Dyno 2014 @ MSL Performance

You cant change it until its been Supercharged :thumb:

Yes correct LEE, Acid is looking into it for me, they now offer single as well as the original twin Charger kits, and now Dinan offer an awesome stroker kit, all depends on the price, and reliability as I don't actually know anyone in the UK that has one running, I will get the dyno day out the way, then see what route to take as for the money GT-R seems the best route for serious power vs tuning an M5

How did I know you would start thinking of another car:D

Ha Ha Mate, no just been looking around at the tuning, was recently offered a very quick 911 turbo, then I looked at the M5 Kits, no plans to change at the moment as I still have loads I want to do, but if it was a case of 10k mod I would rather chop my car in and get the GT-R, so many cars around, and prices falling, another blinding buy is the rs6 v10 bi turbo, albeit most in your flavour, estates, tuning even just via an odb map is amazing,

then you look at the C63 SC turns an already fast car into a supercar slayer
Lets just say if I hit the dyno in the M5 and I get 400bhp, "I doubt I will" ropy figures or not the car will be up for a change, and currently my choice would be GT-R, RS6 Bi Turbo V10 saloon,

The GTR would be nice but a Supercharged M5 now thats just pure stealth and would destroy most cars in a straight line.
However the RS6 now they are a nice motor.

hurry up Acid and get this Dyno sorted Ha Ha

Agree with you Lee, I like stealth. The GTR is special but all a bit obvious to me.

GTR ?? Fast car agreed but give me till later this year to build a 1000 bhp Merc that will show up a GTR :)

It's really coming along Acid, great to see the progress today in person

Need for Speed is an understatement on this forum .

Haha

Wait till we hit over 1000bhp :D

More updates this week

Some pics of the office , the plaster is now finished!

The Last Wall and 2nd View Area

The Dyno Room walls

Acid, what a progress mate, congrats. That looks awesome.

i am trying to finish the room for this month the Dyno is in England but i am trying to work out the best noise insulation and then the fan setup which will he a massive headache to get right!!!!

i have got the following ideas

Wooden stud walls
Rock wool blocks
The furring bars mounted into the clip to the stud wall with a 15mm gap.
The first layer of acoustic grade 12.5mm plasterboard mounted to the furring bar
5mm rubber
Then another 12.5mm plasterboard on the rubber.
Finally maybe some sound acoustic foam to finish it off.

something like this

Looking good Acid - are you thinking to finish the actual dyno room in this or the viewing area etc?

Generally what you are suggesting sounds good but..... Sound insulation and separation can be difficult. Heavy monolithic materials such as dense concrete block are best as the main material as long as there is some separation to the main structure to prevent structure bourne transmission. Then linings applied to this but again there are many variables.

Give me a call or message me when you get a chance and I will look into it for you.

Acoustic foam is for deadening sound within a room to stop echo's, from what I read you want to stop sound transfer into the office and viewing area.

As said you want dense material, but also want something of varying frequency absorption.

Rockwool probably won't be very effective in a stud wall cavity, a better option would be two layers of plasterboard with bitumastic felt and/or polystyrene trapped between the plasterboard layers.

The idea is to block the sound for the garage and offices.

i am thinking of the idea below to start of with.

Wall System 1 | Domestic Wall Soundproofing Solution

Note what is says.

Try to avoid fixing into the existing wall with nails or screws as sound can transfer along the fixings. If you can leave a 25mm air gap between the two walls this will increase the sound insulation of the system as no part of the wall will be touching the existing, reducing sound transmission through a de-coupling effect.

Just make your own out of wood frame, rockwooll bats and two layers of plasterboard with a damper layer trapped between.
The damper layer will work wonders in a similar fashion to Dynamat stuck to car metalwork. It will reduce the ability of resonant sound traveling through the two boards as it is dissimilar material.
