C350e owners club

Now that the web app seems to be stuck on 80mpg, I have changed the settings so that it calculates consumption as km/l. So over 5975 miles it is showing as 38.5 (24 miles) kilometres travelled per litre of fuel used, which works out at about 108.7 MPG. Very impressive!

That is impressive Dr Pat, I thought that I was doing well at 21.4 km per litre for the overall 4000 miles so far. I have been working local to home for the last two weeks and been able to charge at both ends of the journey and have achieved 40 km per litre so far.

I wonder if this is some kind of Brexit reaction from MB, and they are trying to convert us to metric?

Ah yes I see the Android app is fixed too, didn't even know it had fuel economy in there as I always use the web app as that's where I can see charging status.

My from start shows 176.6mpg!....my commute home used very little engine yesterday.

I would love it if they get the web app to show more than 99.9mpg if the car has done over that, clearly the car is sending precise data even when it reaches and stops at 99.9mpg in the trip.

The app (as in the app from the iTunes store for apple stuff and not the web app) shows the full mpg, not limited to 80.0.

Mine showed 113.4 for my last trip, no need to convert it!

I wouldn't say fixed just yet on droid, I know these cars are quick but i don't remember averaging 123 mph on my way back from the supermarket yesterday :-)

And my Mrs was clearly in a rush on the school run this morning...

On a slightly different topic, I think I need to have a word with the body shop that has my car at the moment... Done through Lex after someone drove into the back of me and they refused to use a Mercedes main dealer and the car is due back to me today.

Ouch. Hope you get it sorted. Was the rear tyre damaged in the bump?
Nope, it was a slight ding in the rear bumper about a month ago. Didn't really need fixing but as it wasn't my fault I though I would!

Tyre was fine when it went in, at pretty much exactly the same pressure as the other side for the last couple of months and it's only this afternoon I've spotted a problem..

Hi All, There is a review of the 350e on Auto Express online today. You're not going to learn anything new, but still worth a read and as owners we have the knowledge to appreciate what a multi-faceted car it really is.

Can I ask about that email - is it an automated email from the car to say your battery is flat?

No fair, mine says average 33mph which is boringly accurate.

My colleague who has an outlander learned that his HV battery doesn't charge up the regular battery, I guess we're in the same boat, means that someone like me who has a high % of electric driving could face battery issues?

Do you have a link I can't locate?....

It's certainly a useful tool. Lex wouldn't allow me to connect up when I took delivery in March...

Arval said we couldn't use it so we cancelled the order for our 2 350e's and ordered from Mercedes leasing instead. Arval then changed their minds on it but by then it was too late.

Yes, I guess it's part of the connect me services. First time I've seen that email though, normally its just the ones saying the car HV battery is fully charged.

It is useful but not the end of the world if you don't have it. Main thing for me is setting the depart time for pre-entry climate control if I've forgotten to do it in the car.

Lex wouldn't let me switch it on either...

6 months in

Thought I would post my thoughts having now had my C350e for 6 months and just before it's first service at 16000 miles.

I ordered a C350 Premium Plus in White with Privacy Glass, Grey Artico and Black Ash trim in June 2015 and the car arrived at the end of February 2016. This was ordered through Mercedes Fleet and had no issues with getting everything working.

Fantastic looking car and cruises nicely but no sports car.

This was bought as a Company Car to reduce tax and is charged at home daily as well as in London when I can get on to a charging bay - I did not get a bespoke charging point as I did not think the cost justified it as I would always have a couple of hours to charge or overnight. I have the 8m cable and plug the brick into a socket in my garage with the lead running under the door. I have had no problems with charging/overheating.

I had Hankook tyres and the rears lasted over 15k miles - the fronts are about 50% worn. Only issue I had was a puncture which resulted in the tyres being changed but this happened on a Sunday and the only place I can get my tyres changed is a Mercedes Dealer who are closed on Sundays and then quoted 3 days for new tyres! Miraculously they found some (after a fair bit of 'conversation') and this changed to 3 hours.

The longest run I have done is from Milton Keynes to Aberdeen and averaged 44mpg and I can get high 50's on a run to London when leaving at around 06:00. Lowest figure I have got on a tank is 35mpg when I have been playing but for the power available not too bad. My average journey is around 50 miles and I get mid to high 40's mpg.

Downsides - small tank so a lot more stops to fill up so planning the journey not to be ripped of on the Motorways - don't like Sport Plus, very jerky without much benefit - brakes vary in how they perform - in eco mode the car will slow down if it detects a vehicle in front (sometimes quite quickly) however the brake lights do not come on and this has nearly resulted in some rear end shunts - best I have done on a full charge is 8 miles (maybe me?)

To date I have had no issues whatsoever with the car and would recommend to anyone.
