C350e owners club

Almost exactly five months from when I placed the order (back in December) the Leaseplan dealer called this morning to say my C350e was in stock and would I like it earlier than planned.

It's going through PDI now and should be delivered to me next Monday [emoji3]

Leaseplan have also confirmed they are sending an authorising letter for the Mercedes Me services to the dealer tomorrow.

1st rear tyre change at 28,300 Miles. Switched the factory Hankooks to Bridgestone.

Can't believe they have lasted so long.

You switched because the Hankooks lasted too long?!?

Hi, did the Thule scratch the car?.

So - used the Thule bike carrier last week - and very impressed. Goes on quickly, feels very sturdy, bikes a good distance from the car - and after a week... no signs of any scratching of paintwork or distorting of the metal work on the boot. The clips are coated in something - so it isn't metal on metal (or perhaps metal on paint)

Would probably have still gone for the roof bars and roof carrier - but bloody expensive - and I managed to drop a bike onto my new 3 series when I first got it, so even on the roof there is an element of risk!!

Today is pick up day, 5 months in the waiting.... not slept! Maybe that's because I've knackered my back up, I'm sure this glorious motor will be able to fix that too

No, the lease company decides what I get, I dont pay for Tyres, Service or Insurance.

Likewise. I was resignied to having one odd tyre after a puncture a few weeks ago, but it was repairable.

I will arrange my first service in a few weeks time directly with Mercedes and get them to bill the lease company. There's no way I'm letting them book it into Kwik Fit.

campbeltown is my original home town, so know that road very well indeed!

I'm lucky the lease company moved from Kwik Fit to National Tyres this year.

National were perfect.

Just over fives months on from ordering my 350e Saloon in Selenite Grey arrived this afternoon [emoji16]

I'll post up a few pics once I work out how to either shrink the things or find somewhere to host them.

Not Lex, but I just walked into my local MB dealer with the VIN and my licence.

I've had my Lex 350 for a month and absolutely love it. I haven't contacted them about Mercedes Me but I have it working on 9/15 functions, I haven't looked at those that aren't functioning but the preclimate and charging notifications are useful and work fine.

What type of ownership do people have here? Lease or outright purchase (or other)

It seems that the generous discounts available to purchasers aren't reflected in the somewhat ambitious leasing prices. My current car (Skoda Superb SE Business) has close to the key 100:1 factor of discounted new price : effective monthly lease whereas the best deals I've seen on C350e have been nowhere close (80:1 at best). OK, so the 100:1 rates are pretty rare....

(effective monthly lease = total lease payments inc VAT/number of months)
