Can anyone tell me how long it took to get Mercedes Me setup?

I tried to get it done by the dealer who provided the car but was told the lease company needs to do it. The lease company was very accommodating but it's been almost 2 weeks and I've chased 3 times and the lease company says it's with Mercedes!

Leaseplan emailed me a letter the same day I called them. I did the online setup and took the letter and some ID into my local dealer.

The dealer set it up and about an hour later it was all working.

Is the chrome no longer standard or is it an option to go for black instead? Looks nice!

its the night pack option, personal preference but I love it, and the wheels you get are so much better!

Thanks just wanted to check this was normal (ish) and nothing wrong with he car

White C350e

Received my car in December.

Came with vision pack, LED lighting, 360 camera, park assist, lane assist and a host of other things.

Also 20" AMG wheels with runflat tyres.

Now done over 5,000kms and averaging out at 7litres/100kms. This is nothing like I expected. I'm lucky to get 19kms on electric motor when fully charged.

Even though I have Airmatic suspension it feels quite hard, due to the low profile 20" wheels/tyre combination.

I think the Australian version has a number of extras that the UK model doesn't have.

Overall, quite happy with the car, although I might change to "standard" tyres when the time comes.

Have we any Mercedes people on here than can activate my Mercedes Me? Got the car last week through Lex and they are being very awkward. Only 200 miles in but averaged 68.8mpg so far. Very happy [emoji4]

Lex have steadfastly refused to activate Mercedes me on my car. Pretty much given up.

Enjoy it, piccies are nice :p. I will say warm weather (today!) massively improves mpg

From what I hear Lex are a pain to deal with.

However, if you setup the phone app and do the vehicle activation via that you are offered the chance to activate on line.

This then requires you to use the 'info' button in the car to talk direct to Mercedes.

When I did it this way I got everything except services related to unlocking and tracking activated. This does mean though you get all the trip data and the pre-entry climate control activated.

For the rest I had to go into the dealer with ID and a letter from the lease company. However, Leaseplan seem to have no hang ups about the services. They just ask you to agree to cancel it all at the end of the lease.

Can you tell the difference between the comfort and sport suspension settings? After four years in an Audi black edition, I went straight for comfort mode...

That seems to be a problem with the suspension.

The steering and engine response changes quite a lot, but, I haven't noticed any change in the suspension. I put it down to the low profile tyres(35 profile) and the hard run flats.

Friends have commented that the suspension seems hard, even in Comfort mode.

I prefer the suspension in Sport - its a bit more controlled than in Comfort and still, well, comfortable. That's on the 18" option rims, standard tyres. I wouldn't say its a massive change though. Keep meaning to set up the Individual to give me Sport suspension and Comfort everything else and see how I like that.

I imagine 20" rims with 35 series runflats must be pretty much like riding on cartwheels.

Comfort feels a bit more wallowy, like an air mattress or the suspension on a big American boat of a car.

Sport is definitely more controlled in the corners.

Eco is pretty harsh over the speed bumps, I believe this uses a low power mode on the Airmatic?

I have had my car for 15months and covered 38,000 miles.
Trying to answer a few questions from various threads:-
I have driven an XF (3litre diesel) and an XE (2litre petrol). The C350e is different to both of them. Generally more sporty than both, much quicker than both, probably not as comfortable as the XF but possibly more comfortable than the XE. The size feels 'in the middle' of the two Jags. Personally I didn't like the XF, I preferred the XE but it needed more power. I would not swap my 350e for either of the Jags.

Someone said that when you have no battery charge left you simply have a 2litre petrol with added weight. This isn't true. There is never a time when there is no battery charge available. When the battery is depleted to the point that you cannot drive purely on electric, there is still battery capacity available for power. If you floor it, you always have almost 300bhp available. I have had powerful cars for many years; several 3litre diesels and nothing less than 2litre petrol. The C350e is the fastest 'family' car I have ever owned.

If you charge the car at least once a day but you like the benefits of almost 300bhp and you enjoy using Sport and Sport + modes like me, you can expect an overall average of just under 40mpg. I am happy with this as it is about the same as the 3litre diesel cars I have run in the past but without the 'smog'.

Probably the only irritation with the C350e is the small fuel tank. It literally only has just over half the capacity of other big saloons.

I'd say that sums it up nicely...but, what is this Eco of which you speak? :)

Wow - that is a difference. I also have the estate with no options and the small rear view mirror assembly.

Do you have the 360 Camera Dodgy?

Merc UK first said it was because it was an Estate but you not having them debunks that. Now they say it's a blind cover for the 360 Camera but serves no actual function....I really don't think they know what they're taking about!

I only have the rear view camera.

I wonder if the German and South African variants are different?

My colleagues salloon and my estate were made roughly the same time in Bremen....maybe it is the 360....but why does that add random triangles that do nothing supposedly!
