C350e owners club

What I don't understand is based on the MB's I see on the road majority of them are AMG Sports in UK?

AMG Sports are on older models Stuart.

205's are now sold in 'Sport' or 'AMG Line' trim.

Still a shame. I think more people would buy C350e's if they were available in AMG Line trim.

Sorry yeah that's what I meant if they did AMG line they would sell more! They look too basic!

Is fuel consumption improving after first run of say 1000km after taking ownership? Due to settling of engine? Anyone?

I'm at 700 miles and done few sighting runs.
A charge seems to make a reasonable difference, two similar motorway journeys left me with 34mpg with no charge and 40 with a full one.
My electric estimate at full charge is also increasing, up to 17 (then quickly 16!) at startup.
Looking forward to moving out of "running in" mode

Many thanks for all the comments , i have find them really helpful and i'm 90% confident of ordering when i get back to work in the new year. Being a company car driver i've just noticed the co2 goes over 50 with the larger wheels option, which is a massive no no, so standard wheels it is.

One thing i hadn't picked up anywhere in the previous 28 pages is how the 350e handles, particularly with only 17" wheels when pushing hard around corners - i appreciate its more of a cruiser than a rally car but from time to time after my 20 miles commute ( mostly motorway ) I like to give a car a bit of a blast - im thinking all the weight over the real axle and rear wheel drive should be pretty good ?

I'm waiting for my proper tax statement, I went for the 18s but delivery note still said 48g/km so still got a little hope. The 18s are gorgeous, my first hand wash the other day let me get a look up close.

Handlingwise its surprisingly agile I think, a nice steer (my first RWD though so maybe a pinch of salt needed) and not much roll, even in comfort. Not done much driving in s or s+...

Once you go RWD you never go back :-)
Got my first RWD as a BMW 525, done RWD since.
I will probably go 4WD when i hit 70.
Until then, being pushed VS being pulled is a no brainer.
Wears you for the first 2 months thoug.
but that's just like my opinion man

C350e saloon prem plus ordered this week and been given 10th June as delivery date, the wait begins and longest have ever had for new car
Tenorite grey
Led head light option
Real leather option
Sticking with the 17,s due to the bik banding

As these seem to be like a unicorn at the dealers anybody have a good photo of the boot to show how much the batteries actually encroach?

Used the automatic parking assistance this morning for the first time.
Having now done it I will do it again with increasing confidence. Have to say I was twitchy at the outset until I realised that with the 360 cameras and the instruction to use brake and accelerator as required. Once I stopped and touched the steering wheel control was immediately passed back to me.
Really pleased with it. That was parallel parking, not sure about the other manoeuvres yet :)

Backing in works like a charm also, tried all three types, if you want it to look for spaces on the other side of the road, you need to give signal that way first for it to work.

I would like MB to implement it for driving in with the front also, and automatic stop when one is close enough. I got the 360, but still it would be cool.
And folding mirror down when reversing, is not that intuitive.

Happy new year all!

Collected mine yesterday and so far over the moon

You will no doubt eventually get to the other side then :)

I used for the first time yesterday and it was very impressive.

Do I presume you mean reverse into a space in a car park??

If so, how do you do this (the manual terrifies me as it is so thick!!!!)

Well no problem at all, once you drive past a space for reversing it picks it up.
Press play on tape "press OK" and it is the same as for the one you tried.

For the car to look for space on opposite side of the road, you need to give signal in that direction.

Arrgh but I didn't want to know!

I do really like the wheels, but thinking now, I made an error when speccing on the Lex system. I noticed that the estate went up on premium pack which put me off ordering it, however I guess I may end up paying that much anyway.

It's still dirt cheap for what you get, I'm over the moon with the toys, interior, colour, poke.
Fuel consumption is the only downer at the moment, I've been at around 37 over the first 1000miles. However I did read a long term review review in CAR of the 180bhp 2.0D Mondeo estate, and they only got to 40mpg after 5000miles so maybe its not to bad!
