Weight (Mass) and CG
This topic goes back a bit but got me thinking so, in preparation for the Big Day (still someway off) I took my C320cdi Estate off to a weighbridge to give me a "base-line" for when I do the same with my C350e when it arrives.
The book figure of kerb weight is 1750kg (inc 90% fuel + driver and kit)
My car was 1780 kg (75% fuel no driver but about 30kg of kit).
Weight of front axle - 900kg; weight on rear axle 880kg. All data ±20kg.
I was surprised that the weights were so evenly balanced so look forward to trying the C350e.
I enjoy the drive in the C320cdi, especially the torque, but it's not naturally really sporty; I just like making it feel so when there is only me in the car!
The max weight of the C350e is given at 1780kg (same rules as for C320cdi) but with only 90% of a 50litre tank.
Do those already with the C350e find that the tank is only 50litres?
Maybe a sack of concrete on the hood to even out the weight? Haha
